What are the rest of Nigeria afraid of? The igbos are called names and mocked at every minute but the moment they say they want out of this mess of a country people start shouting no way. Why not have ur own country and let them live as foreigners. You can even make laws that'll deny them the right to trade - which seems to be the envy.
This is the twenty first century and any group of people have that right to self determination so long as they're not acquiring others' land in the process.
Why do we hate others who live among us but refused to allow them pack their belongings and leave us in peace?
Why are there jitters everywhere whenever Asari and the niger deltans ask for their right for self determination? - at a time that Britain just allowed Scotland to have their referendum.
Why?
One thing is certain, throughout history there's never a group of people who sought freedom and assert their course that never had it.

This too shall come to pass.

Let's learn to respect people's rights and freedoms and stop envy induced hate.
those who feel they are better than others should demonstrate same by showing independency in charting their course and not lump the weight of efforts of those they feel better than to better their balance.
Why do we fear

You're too wise! I like this...too much Class and Maturity

Its a shame we are talking like this now when;
1) Mr Asari has all his investments and provides employment outside the Niger Delta

2) Dey kept Insisting its our turn rather than facing the struggle.

3) GEJ buried the struggle, the day he declared "NO - GO AREAS" in the just concluded national conference.

4) thank God providence made GEJ to declare the "no-go areas" in the confab cos had he pushed thru a recommendation for referendum for self determination, I imagine he would have reelected to kill such overture. With d rot in our economy, it would have bcom impossible for our Economy to survive. At least all the women thieves will go back home to take care of their husband's.

The Nigerian state has done everything possible to make sure ND stands exceptional ahead of other states tru nndc,13% derivation,ND ministry etc. This is a rear opportunity.Do u knw there was nothing like that to north, west and east when they nursed the nation with gnut, cotton, cocoa and coal.

I am sure u don't want the multi ethnic nature of ND to become like the south Sudan
We don't need NDDC or Min of Niger Delta Affairs. What is preventing the Nigeria state from granting 50% derivation like it was done when non-oil resources was the mainstay? What is the use of 13% when demand is 50%? Why do tyou think that others are doing us favor by meagre 13%? What is Min of ND Affairs doing in Abuja? Why not in Warri or pH or even Owerri? Why is NNPC Hq not in PH or Yenagoa when NPA and NIMASSA are in Lagos? Why are all the Oil Companies hq outside ND?

The Niger Delta people along with the Igbo nation collectively known as Lower Niger Region was never defeated on March 28. PDP and Jonathan was though we backed them till the very end and we are glad we did. But We Are Not A Conquered Territory
i really dnt get ur point.why do u make it look like the last election was the south-south and south east against the north and south west.what do u tell the yoruba's from ekiti who voted enmasse for pdp or the ones from ondo ogun oyo lagos who voted pdp in there hundreds of thousands.the elections has being won and lost what u pdp guys need to do is strategize on how to make ur party better and nt stoking tribal sentiments.

It is very unfortunate that Asari Dokubo is still on this matter of Jonathan's loss and it's disappointing that he has not started his ironical Niger Delta people's fight as he previously proclaimed. The incoming administration won't tolerate issued threats for we all know the personality of the head of the incoming government come May 29. All contracts awarded out of irresponsibility should be prepared for revoke. Asari Dokubo should understand that the contracts awarded to him and his fellow peers like Boyloaf mocks our collective defense capability and economic understanding. He should also not misunderstand normalisation of abnormality as drawing first blood, else, he should be prepared for total attention from Nigerian army. Godspeed in his intended engagement with the Nigerian Army as we are yet to forget his treacherous statements before the #2015Elections

I wonder what they will do?
Blow up pipelines?
Attack government facilities?
Just what?....
They will soon learn that this administration will not be moved by threats.
What needs to be done will be done and heavens will not fall.

The ND and the igbo nation should shout their mouth nigeria is years old yet we are not still getting it right, do u think is childs play to become a country? If you try rubbish u guys will surfer, or do the igbo think their fake product will give them food or ND think selling crude alone will bring them wealth time has come when crude will be useless to the international community u better work your diffrenceses as one nigeria an pray to God than start shouting up and down like engine

What amazes me all the time is the fraud that this NG struggle has become, Asari Dokubo does not care about the progress if the average south soutgener who is wallowing in poverty, whose live was worrisome before 2011 and remains so, oil spills are yet to stop, their polluted rivers and farms still yield no crop, absolutely nothing has changed all they keep getting us temporary sweeteners like a junkie who gets high to escaped is miserable existence but to a while.

Asari is only fighting for his millions, he is telling buhari don't you darr take away my contracts indirectly, was this not the same man who used ND struggle to usurp Nigerian wealth and built a school in Cotonou, can a ND come here and tell me what buhari has done for his people.

I'm ashamed the organisers of Boro Remembrance allowed the tout and terrorist called Dokubo to have an audience.

I laugh in master language that slaves dont understand.

You are a bitter loser and far from a politician. If you picture yourselves slaves, you are one by your mindset and by every standard you set for yourself. The day you realize that God designed marriage not to be walked out of, that day you will understand Nigeria remains indivisible. Your situation is akin to a young bride now at the prime of her life as a GMD in a big multinational company seeking for divorce but has forgotten that her poor husband sent her to school.

One thing i am happy about is that whatever the 'lower Niger' wants to do, the battle ground is at their home. South Sudan is a perfect example but in a smaller scale.
