There's only one president and that's Jonathan. Buhari is not a president, he's just a president-elect. Buhari can still NOT be made president if he commits a federal crime now, like treason or crimes. That's why he must be very careful. I guess he knows it.

That he's a president-elect doesn't mean he should become a couch potatoe. He must be planning on what to do as soon as he takes over the mantle of leadership. And to know what to pursue first after 29th May, he must briefed by Jonathan about the state of affairs now. That's Jonathan's obligation by Law. He must do it. But you Nigerian politicians don't give a sh*it about the constitution.

So what Buhari is trying to do now (researching in his own to know the state of affairs) is the best thingoto do, than to sit and wait on reluctant Jonathan. Although the administration has the best info, Buhari doing something is better than nothing.

So in conclusion, Buhari hasn't played any government function yet to be accused of running a parallel government. He's just getting himself and those who will work with him, ready for struggles ahead.

That is a sign of a good manager when taking over a project has to ask of a perfomance report from past management so as to easily find the objectives of the project but, without it the new manager has to define the scope statement of the project togather with the management core members of the project.

The problem here is defining "smooth transition". What does it mean? When is transition smooth? When we have two presidents at the same time - Jonathan and Buhari?

The fact that Buhari is lamenting doesn't make him truthful or honest. Me think it's part of a grand scheme to dilute expectation and explain possible failure to hit ground running. And it's totally shameful and utterly uninspiring to start off like that!

Well because you think Buhari is trying to dilute expectation doesn't make it so. From what I read, plans were not halted, they only stated the challenges they were facing. From your fuel attendant analogy, Buhari's team is actually planning (selling fuel) even though they've got limited information which is required for accurate planning. I don't know why Jonathan's committee is not disseminating the information required by the incoming administration to plan effectively. One can only speculate that they are delaying some information for whatever reason but that's just a speculation which may be wrong.
