It's about 10 days and still not delivered.

Does anyone know how I can track my baby's birth certificate in Atlanta?

There's nothing to track. Carry yourself and go to the Vital records office (google the address) and pick the certificate up. If not u will wait for more than 3 weeks to receive in the mail.

That BC was ready sinceeee....like a day after u deliver delivered sef.

mama tobenna and Omary83 pls I need ur help with the doctor and hospital you used in LA. thanks

Surely, why not take your time to read their posts as well as the thread generally? They've already posted the info they had on LA, and someone has already been kind enough to refer you to the specific posters that posted on LA. Why not take the time to read the info they've shared?

Hubby had to stay awake all night yesterday to hand fan him, so he could even catch some sleep. There is no light to power AC and no fuel in the generator either. We couldn't even get black market around where we stay sef. No fuel for car. Na keke/bus things. angry angry.

I still donot know what NLC is waiting for to go on an indefinite strike! embarassed

I completely agree with you oh my sister. Imagine all of this shut down happening around the country, what happens if the hospital can't get fuel to power their generators? Schedule CS will be cancelled parents with babies in NICU will be praying for miracles. God help us all. I replied your mail to me but it seems something is wrong with your box it keeps bouncing back. Kindly confirm receipt of my reply.

Nogen:
Akindolz, congratulations dear. Make I do pack my load dey come over before they will change their system. By the way, do they realise how much we put into their system? If our system is so good , personally I won't be coming over. I never liked the UK, most of my Vacations are done in the US.

Secondly, my hospital here had mentioned to me very early in my pregnancy that I should keep down a minimum of 3 million naira for delivery in case of NICU. NICU that hardly saves babies born unless they are in their 7th month. Please! 3 million naira is 15,000 dollars at least. For me, its all about the medicals first before the pali thingy.

They should just bear with us. It's not easy for us too.

Got in to the US yesterday at 2pm Dallas time /8 pm Nigerian time. God granted us favour from Naija to the US (travelled with my mum). Arrived MMI very early eventhough i have checked myself and mum in the previous day. No fit to fly or scan asked for. I am very heavy for the number of weeks i am presently. I also requested for a wheelchair. It was one of the best decisions I made during this trip.

We flew KLM, an awesome flight and crew members. I was so taken care of from Nigeria to Amsterdam, and my 2nd leg of the trip was more than awesome. The crew members made sure I was given enough food and water. They gave me 150 cl of water. Changed our seats to a more comfortable one. Kept coming to check on me all through the flight.

My feet were not swollen because I wore my compression socks ( usually my feet get swollen especially when they are not up) I drank gallons of water in flight, made good use of the restroom wella. Walked the aisle of the flight as often as I could.

At our arrival in Dallas, was wheeled to the POE. The conversation with the CBP officer started after he checked my visa and passport.
Cbp officer- How long are you staying?
Me- 3 months.
CBP officer - What will you be doing in 3 months?
Me- having my babies
CBP officer - Any documents from your doctor?
Me- Hands over the letter correspondence with the doctor and every other documents I had with me so he could check.
CBP officer - Is this your 1st time using your visa?
Me- No. Used it last year summer for vacation. But have old used visas there.
CBP officer - checked and nodded.
CBP officer- How much cash do you have with you?
Me- 9k plus cash and on my BOA card and GTB card, I also have enough funds.
(He didn't bother to see the money nor the cards)
CBP officer- Giving birth in the US is totally legal but make sure you collect and safeguard all your babies' and your birthing papers and receipts because they could be asked from you anytime, either at the Embassy or any POE here in the US. Know that it is documented in the computer. Always, you must come in to the US with them anytime you visit. It's very important. Do you have any food?

Me- Yes.
CBP officer - what do you have as food?
Me- I listed them. No meat, yes to vegetables but they are dried.
CBP officer -Ok. I wish you a safe delivery. (Sent us to Agriculture for our food). Stamped Mum and l till November 2015 (my visa expires October )

2nd CBP- How much cash do you have?
Me- 9k plus.
2nd CBP - will that cover all your bills?
Me- I have money in my BOA and GTB cards if I need to spend more money.
2nd Cpb - what do you do for a living?
Me- I am a ********
2nd Cpb : Ok. Have a safe delivery and welcome to the US.

Picked up our luggage and headed to the Agriculture.
Officer'- Any vegetables, meat, seeds, etc in your bag?
Me- Yes vegetables but dried. No meat. Yes to seeds and spices but they are all blended. I also have some pap. Explained what it is and used for.
He scanned the 4 bags and said 'Enjoy your stay in the US '.

In our bags, my mum packed all manner of food but I made sure they are in powder forms except for pap, palm oil, fish and stock fish. We spent about 10 minutes in all.
No secondary inspection whatsoever. Nobody counted my money but I had everything ready. God granted us the favour all through. I wish other mums the very best as they embark on this journey.

Resting in Dallas now for a few days before porting to El Paso till delivery.

Well I applied for my brother and family last year but I didn't remember their first son had clocked 15 and needed to do biometrics so we had drop boxed everyone's application a week after we submitted they returned everyone's passport with visa and held back his and asked him to come in and do his biometrics. Just giving you a personal experience.

Some hospital can be funny. Medical report for 20k. Is it not my personal record. Can I just get a copy of the test instead of this report that has the same thing as a copy of the test.

I paid 26k to get my medical reports and tests records. We were given two options though. Have a GP write it for you for 5k or a consultant gynecologist and obstetrician prepare it for you is 26k. We had to choose the later because we don't want our results rejected.
