You said your in-laws are religious? Are they really devoted and spiritual? Have you asked them the reasons why they said you shouldn't? Provided they are devoted and spiritual Christians, I want to believe they are more experienced and spiritually-inclined than you and your husband combined. So, I would say, you should listen to them, but first you need to ask them to give you the reasons for telling you not to take up the job offer.

Also, I think you need to do your due diligence on the subject matter. Have you prayed as an individual who is mostly concerned and affected by this decision and advice of theirs? You can always consult your trusted pastor or prophet who is more sound in the things of the spirits and not just being pastor by title but someone who really and truly sees and hears from the LORD.

Lastly, whatever your decision is, I wish you all the very best. If the job is truly not a good one for you, I pray the good Lord in His infinite mercies provides you a better, more befitting and beneficial one in Jesus name, amen.

I have heard many Nigerians are myopic but if this is true then I must say Nigeria still got a long way.
No wonder this place is a shithole.

You got a job; a means of empowerment and someone somewhere is telling you to flush it down the drain without a commensurate alternative.

I guess you have no siblings who are still growing up and would need all the help they can get or no aged parents who would need to be taken care of.


I hope those in laws also saw you in their dreams and prayers begging for money to buy Maggi and condiments from them in a few months time....
