Wait o! Please someone should help me answer this. So if they grant you your visa on the 10th of August you have to leave before the 10th of September even if your classes would start on the 21st of september ehen?! Abi craze dey worry dis people?! What is all this rule na?!

What I thought was that when they issue the visa and you arrive in the u.k, you have 30 days to go to the post office or their office close to your school to get the visa for the remaining months. At least that is what I think I read on my school's website.

Someone knowledgeable (no guessing o) please clarify this issue o. I take God beg una.....

grin@petitediva-- we ar money making machines for the uk govt..

Honestly it is too much o. And there is so much restriction on post study work option. The ideal thing is that after the thousands we spend they should give us some years to earn our money back. #justsaying

This 30 days will start 30 days before the course start date on your CAS (or from the date that your visa is issued, if this is less than 30 days before the course start date on your CAS).

That is the case else your visa will expire and you have to apply again.

That is nonsense o. I have to apply earlier so that I can give my employer 30days notice before i leave. This is not good at all.

Hello justwise, spikeC, naijamark and All,

Kindly assist with enquiries below;

1. How long does it take for interview invitation after visa application?
2. There is a situation. A part-pymt was made to school IRO tuition fee. This is yet to be acknowledged by the school. Hopefully this should be done before end of this week. Meanwhile I'll like to commence ma visa application process. Can I go ahead (and hope that before I'm invited for interview my CAS is accordingly updated to reflect this payment) or should I wait for the school to acknowledge and update my CAS before I commence visa application? In summary, can CAS be updated between period of visa application and interview?

The post by naijamark contains the information I was asking about concerning biometric. So people need to ask their schools if they can pick up their Biometric Resident permit from them else they would have to go to a post office. ... This UK study process is so long ..especially for us who want to just study and run back home.. so cumbersome and expensive as I'm applying for visa for my dependants as well. God willing we will all reap the benefits of this.

Some schools do email you their code so while you are applying for visa you write out the school code on your application form.so you don't have to go to the post office.like my school sent me their code after they sent in my offer

You take the rate of either the day you deposited or the day you submitted. Anyone that favours you

@spikesC has answered your question.
spikesC:

1. You do not get INVITED, you book your interview date on the website when applying
2. You cannot apply for visa without your school CAS. You need the information in the CAS
In addition, it appears you already have a CAS which is yet to be updated to reflect your recent payment. Request for an updated CAS, this should not take more than a week as soon as your payment is confirmed. Meanwhile, you may proceed to fill your visa application form online at visa4uk but do not confirm your application yet! Once you have your CAS, include your payment details and then confirm application.
Booking visa appointment is subject to seat availability at different centres, this could be 1 week on the average.

Your baby needs passport and visa, even if she's a day old.

I paid with my GTB.. make sure u use ur secure code or it won't work.. make sure u submit ur form by tomorrow if not u will have to pay the surcharge again as they are amending the form to include the health surcharge.. they will however refund you the excess if u pay twice.. if u know u won't submit ur form before the 4th then do pay the surcharge seperately..just wait n fill the visa form next week and pay with ur visa application

Hello all,

This 30days thingy about travelling after Visa is obtained. I just checked the UKCISA site, it seems if one does not travel, u'll have to reapply for another 30-day vignette AND NOT anoda visa application.

http://www.ukcisa.org.uk/International-Students/Preparing--planning/Visas-and-immigration/Applying-for-a-Tier-4-General-visa/When-your-visa-is-issued/

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/transferring-a-visa-to-a-new-passport-ecb17/transferring-a-visa-ecb17#ecb173-replacing-a-30-day-short-validity-travel-vignette

U already have your visa ( and I suppose you don't need to supply all those plenty documents again).

Please gurus in the house, spikeC, naijamark et all should assist elucidate on this.
