Uneasy Calm Pervades Kaduna Following Declaration Of N90 Billion Assets By The Governor

Idibia Gabriel, Kaduna

Governor Nasir ElRufai of Kaduna State has declared his asset. He is worth N90 billion. The governor’s assets declaration came as a big shock to most Kaduna residents yesterday as he allegedly declared ownership of 40 mansions, most of which are located in Abuja. Kaduna State Director Code of Conduct Bureau, George David, however, declined to comment when contacted.

He said the law on asset declaration permitted public office holders not to make their asset declaration public. The director however disclosed that asset declaration by El- Rufai and his Deputy were made long before yesterday.

According to him, any further information concerning the amount and assets involved in the declaration form, could only be enquired from Abuja headquarter of the Bureau.

Governor El-Rufai’s Adviser on Media and Communication, Muyiwa Adekeye, confirmed that the governor had declared his assets but promised to get back to journalists with details. As at press time, he never did.

Well el rufai was filthy rich by the time he was 28. He graduated from A.B.U zaria with first-class honours in Quantity Survey and went ahead to set himself up by creating a construction company with a friend. This man is a self Made Billionaire.

N90 billion? If el Rufai isn't a fraudster he should tell us how he made so much wealth. How much is the Salary of a Minister? How much is the Salary of the D-G BPE? El rufai has been out of job since 2007, how did he amass the wealth? I have always known that he's a criminal forming angel of light. I pity Kaduna people because they just elected a common thief. El Rufai is like Obj and Oby...Croooooks!

When will Buhari and Osinbajo declare their assets?

You are not completely far from the truth
For someone who has properties acquired before becoming a minister and benefited from the Federal government monetization policy is wealth value has quadrapled. From 2007-2015 is a long time, Elfrufai also owns one of the largest Quantity surveying firms in the country and has allso published and given paid lectures across the Globe....
Although he acquired some houses and attractive plots in abuja through corruption and family connections, his brother also helped him secure many government contracts before gaining public office ( I dont know if that is corruption)
But the Union is owned by deziani LOOOOOOL

As long as they were legally acquired then no problem. How did the paper arrive at the value? All he is required to do is to declare his assets and not value the assets for example the cost of a two bedroom house in Asokoro varies and the job of the CCB is to confirm that he indeed owns the said property.

I've read El Rufai's book "The Accidental Public Servant", truly he was rich but he lost everything during IBB regime before venturing into public office. As much as he tried to cover his corrupt tendencies in his book, he couldn't cover his tracks properly from discerning minds. El-Rufai is as corrupt as they come.

Stop trying to defend politicians, they are all one and the same.

Uncle what are you saying? You don't know what you are saying. El Rufai was broke before venturing into politics-Thanks to IBB. Even before then he wasn't that "wealthy".

This declaration together with an explanation should be mandatory. We need to know their pre and post asset worth. Tinubu et-al are definitely right at the top.. smh.
I pity the average Nigerian futures.
If true then ~ $400 million is a lot for any politician in a country with a per capital of $3k(Even less for his region).

Hell-bound-Ruffian knows better than to declare such an amount as his personal asset . I am sure this is a manufactured gist, but hey, if we can't get authentic cheering news of the promised change, at least let's be entertained by the demons they let loose when they were in opposition. The rumor and slander mills they established are thriving
