Highly coveted free agent LaMarcus Aldridge will sign with the San Antonio Spurs, he said Saturday on Twitter.

His deal will be a four-year maximum contract worth more than $80 million, with an opt-out after the third year

They probably saw the team is not solid enough to compete for the title

After the legendary Jim Buss died, the Lakers organization started fading, it's power appeal followed suit, his son Jerry Buss is the issue here and this year's free agency has exposed the organization even more, he lacks any knowledge about handling a large business organization like the Lakers, he wants to make all the decision and the results of his decisions have been catastrophic, take for example how the scouting of Phil Jackson was handled, Phil was totally gutted even though he never mentioned it.

Aldridge basically called them out, even though I agree Aldridge all this time wanted to play for the Spurs, I think he wants a shot at the championship, the Spurs are the perfect team, an experienced roaster with the best coach and a blend of talented youth and passionate fans, it had nothing to do with Kobe or Byron Scott to a lesser extent, it's not like Kobe is 25 here, Kobe at most has one more season left to play the game before he hangs his shoes, any free agent going to the Lakers understands that.

The Lakers would get some free agents this year, hopefully they would compete and better last season's horrendous performance, they would get Hibbert, a healthier Julius Randle, I am not sure Swaggy P understands the concept of competitive basketball and hopefully D. Russel lives up to the hype.
