Hello People, this is great news we are hearing.

However, our president should not forget to SACK all the top officials in the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), because they are so so corrupt. They are conniving with PMIs (primary Mortgage Institutions), mortgage banks to short change Nigerians. FMBN released Loan to Resort Savings & Loans since last year (2014) September, but up till now the money has not been disbursed to the Batch 54 whose the loan is meant for; rather they went and fixed the money in another bank.

If the batch 54 subscribers had not met the requirement for the disbursement, why should FMBN have released the money in the first place since September, 2014? They keep changing goal post every time, in order to make sure they have more and enough proceeds from the money.
If they are doing like this, how will Nigeria ever meet his goal on housing development.

For you to know that FMBN is corrupt, they release the amount meant for the Staff of the ICPC who are among the batch 54, in order to prevent them from being investigated.

Please, let our President SACK all those people that are corrupt in the system.

I think PMB did the right thing by appointing a borno man the new chief of army staff,his love for his "home" wil always propel him in the fight against boko haram.any contrary opinion?

Our youths of nowadays are really pathetic.

A former military dictator who spent the last 12 years trying to be president has appointed officers from an institution he should know like the back of his hand and they are dancing etighi.

Is that how our standards for assessing performance in public office have plummeted?

Considering the urgency of Boko and the campaign promise of crushing Boko within months, why wait till now? sad

I wish the new appointees good luck in their new roles.

That your governor....what is he doing. Even me too....my tribe did not benefit from the appointments....as did at least 200 other tribes.....So....what next? Oga governor....do your job.

We the people of the South East are not interested in appointments or non-appointments like the Tiger Clawed face zone who are always raising their ears like a dog on alert whenever there is an appointment on even trivial posts like toilet cleaners. This is because we are too busy trying to make an impact via our personal endeavors so as to succeed the more and give the "Children of Hate" from the Nought and South West better reasons to HATE!

Thanks my brother, some people's comment on NL can be very annoying.. I don't even care where they are from, just kick bokoharam out of this country for good. Am tired of hearing/seeing Nigeria being labelled as a terrorist country because of bokoharam.

I wish this statement could be applied to the quota system by which the service chiefs were recruited in the Armed Forces of Nigeria. Let us do away with quota system so to see how many northerners could be qualified to become a second lieutenant talk less service chief. Nigeria shall remain a practical joke forever.

I like the new COAS....from Borno. (In other words....the guy has no choice....perform or else).

Still, here is hoping we develop new strategies to fight Boko. In brief....we have to improve our unconventional warfare capability.

Congrats to the new service chiefs.....don't expect us to applaud if you fail.
for ur information Alex badeh is from mubi, Adamawa. one fateful day Boko Haram invaded his hometown took over the town even renamed it. Badeh couldn't do shit abt it. What am saying is dat, it doesn,t mean the guy is from borno, what matters is his competence and willingness to wipe out insurgence

As much as I would like to see an Igbo name among his service chiefs, I still feel there are few top ranking Igbo officers in Nigeria Military today. the south easterners had been alienated from the military just like other Nigerian institutions. This issue had always been there from the onset. Sometimes I wonder what they are afraid of.

Anyways I wish the Service Chiefs Gods speed in dismantling the boko boys. I know that the bulk of the challenge faced by our military stems from corruption and mismanagement of the military allocation in the high places. So whoever that can fix the rot should be there
