You are the kid here. I listened to an elder on radio in Port Harcourt who gave his reasons for being against the meeting. He said Buhari is a no nonsense man and could destroy their land with bombs if militants threaten Nigerias peace.

Bombs can be planted in ur lagos, Abuja and co without them engaging the govt in their community. Or u think u are safe when our borders can't be protected, how much more movements of nationals within the nation who wanna cause mayhem. Pray that there should be peace, and not thinking war will be in certain area ur head thinks.

9/11 event changed activities in the world dat u can't hold on to conventional thinking anymore, as approaches might change at anytime.

I guess you were still a child when the creek was truly the creek.... The last thing buhari need is an unrest at the Niger delta region.... But he buhari asked for it with that response of his in a press conference in US

Abeg go siddon, the fear of Buhari alone is enough for them; even MEND sef have already pulled out of the meeting and Tompolo had no option than to cancel because many are not willing to follow suit - he is on his own.

'Abandon' ,perhaps has another meaning in your context. People you give skills acquisition in helicopter management, home and foreign scholarship, welding, oil installation engineering , ICT....to mention just a few. I donno how you people think...j

How about bombing Lagos, Abuja and co and claiming responsibilities ? Or u don't know they can decide to enhance boko's style without using humans, just planting bombs.

A point to note- we are not sense! We will not shatter ourselves to kill our brothers. But then, I can't say same for all the oil installations, sha. Besides, I don't have to blow up myself to have them destroyed!

you should think before u coment,or are u a learner, have you ever given it a thought, that oil is from the Northeast with all these troubles, then Abuja to Lagos will be 150.000(one hundred and fifty thousand naira only) so pls the government should call for a peace meeting with the militants.

Exactly. A responsible govt will honour his promise and let the region move on. Buhari should please see to it that all developmental projects put in place by the last administration to rehabilitate the agitators in that region are implemented to the latter. Nigeria has the resources, why fan another flame when you are yet to douse the other. Yielding to their demands is not a sign of weakness but a sign of commitment to a vision driven governance.

Unlike NE the fight in Niger Delta will be fought in the creek. No infrastructure will be affected except oil installation. There will be no indiscriminate bombing. Victims will only be those found in the creek. Which means oil and gas workers will need to be evacuated. All of us know what this implies to Nigeria's economy.

after the perceived maltreatment of their brother that could have led to crises, yet they decided to lend their support for the present administration.”Agbo to feyin rin,too much power and strategies, and the free will to fight back bestows on him “ Don't give these people any justifiable reason to start trouble. Bomb+oil installations= economic meltdown.

I think the government should pay all the students and trainees any where they have sent them. It will amount to waste of resources as the government already made committement. It will also make those guys drop out and useless.

Bros if ND militancy resumes you won't be in lagos living your normal life as the entire nigerian economy including lagos would be grounded!!!about killing the militants ,how many of the militants did the NA kill during the days of insurgency? How many boko haram militants have been killed since Buhari took over?

let it happen, if it should happen but also remember that there will also be no money to pay your father's salary, there will also be no money to fimance anything in Nigeria. Everybody will remain at a standstill, not only the niger delta.so fairness, equity, justice should prevail at all times.

Tompolo and militancy need a lot of diplomacy by the federal government to handle. I am sure the president and all Nigeria stakeholders are aware.

Under Obasanjo's eyes they almost brought oil activities to a halt. Not up to 25% of installations that they destroyed since 8 years ago has been rebuilt. Some of these oil facilities, even with available funds that runs to billions of dollars, will still take year to rebuild because of complex technology and terrain.

Our prayer is that FG will not provoke them. Otherwise before our soldier, who many of you are ignorant of their stake in militant activities, will rise to the challenge, they would have taken the country 27 years backward.
