Some people will soon come and call this wailing but deep down, they know it is wrong.Nigeria is too complex for one sided appointments.Lets respect the constitutional federal character.

When Ibos were voting along "Ethnic lines", they did not shout federal Character!
When Ibos told us if Jonathan does not win, Nigeria would burn, they forgot federal Character then
When Ibos, despite the glaring decapitation of the Nigerian economy under Jonathan, they wanted him there simply for Ethnic reasons
When Ibos were insulting Yorubas that supported Jonathan to assume the Presidency in 2009 and then in 2001, they forgot federal Character then
When Ibos were telling themselves that Buahri is a Northerner, a terrorist and Boko haram, they forgot we were one Nigeria then
When Ibos were calling Niegria a Zoo, they forgot that the Zoo was a "Federal Zoo" and they were part of it
When Ibos were encouraging that lunatic called kanu to be disparaging our country, they forgot they will #Wail over appointments later!

Honestly, if l were Ibos, l would keep my bloody mouth shut and just whimper internally while waiting to play a more "sophisticated game" next time around.
Ibos were the ones that polarised the last election and we warned them that they would pay for it, in very dire manner, if their gambit does not pay off .... like we knew it would not pay-off and they dont have the numbers.

Whether Ibos like it or not, Buhari will rule without them (at least most of them) and they should be reminded that they did not contribute to his win at the Polls (just look at the voting pattern in the South East).

Trying to eat their Cake while trying to still have it is daft, to say the least.
Someone should tell them to "Siddon look" till those who contributed massively to Buhari's win at the polls INVITE them to the table.

All these crying, whimpering, moaning and #wailing is just making them appear silly in the eyes of other tribes.
It wont change anything. next time, they should be more "politically savy and disabuse themselves of their herd mentality"

They should put their mouth where their money is. .... or did we not warn them during the few weeks running towards the election?

Who bloody cares about the ethnicity of whoever PMB decides to work with?.

The bottomline is performance and credibility.

if he likes he can pack people from Pluto or Jupiter or Kandahar or Tora Bora mountain, let them just perform and create an environment for us to fulfill our potentials.

I am Igbo, from Imo, and I have to say that this Ndigbo group wailing over appointment is made up of a bunch of useless idiots. I didn't vote for Buhari because I expected this partiality from the beginning. The only people who have the right to complain here are the Yorubas because without them, Buhari would have failed

It irritates me to no end when some dullards on this platform wail about PMB appointments! I passed through enugu-onitsha and PH-Aba roads recently and I felt truly sorry for my ndigbo brothers! Also saw monumental filth in ariara market! Yet many top igbo technocrats and politicians held top positions in Nigeria in recent times! What did they do to help the region with good roads and clean environment? Shioor! I don't care if PMB appoints every minister from his village as long as real development comes to the east and other parts of the country!
And what gv d northeners that ruled you for 30yrs did for dia region?

STOP COMPLAINING!
I want to strongly believe the Ohaneze Youth Council is not speaking for the igbos. If however I am wrong, then the igbos should stop complaining for the following reasons:

*Nobody stop the igbos during the last electioneering campaign from fielding an igbo candidate to contest and win the Presidential election.

*The igbos should go to court if they believe president Buhari has breached any law regarding his appointments.

Guys, everybody relax!
Igbos will outlast Buhari no question, we survived Mutartala Mohammed his brother. It's even better that he doesn't appoint Igbos to high position in his government, so that at last Nigeria will better understand where our problems are coming from in this country.
There is nothing better for Igbos on the long run than Buhari keeping them out his impending failed administration.
I'm happy about the situation of things so far, he is delivering as expected!!!
Re: Buhari’s Appointments Unacceptable To Ndigbo – Ohaneze Youth Council by DedeNkem: 4:56am On Aug 29, 2015
Buhari is practicing hardcore tribalism, which is evident in his appointments.
His agenda is to give his northern thieves full control of Nigeria.

Biafran War 2.0 is imminent if this inequality continues. When it happens, Britain, Soviets (defunct) won't come to your rescue.
The war will be the bloodiest in Africa, both hausas/fulanis and yorubas will suffer the most casualties and this time, Biafran will prevail.

The clock is ticking loudly!

When Okorocha was begging Ndi Anambra to vote for Ngige, they rather picked Ekwunife for Senate. Now as much as Ekwunife is my personal person, in terms of Political strategy, Ndi Igbos got it wrong and therefore lost the chance to produce the Senate President of the current Senate.

President Buhari should carry on, I don't care who he appoints as long as his team can successfully clean the mess we are currently inside.

I have never been an advocate of Federal Character and Catchment Area because it creates room for mediocrity.

I have set my stopwatch for Buhari.. So far, So good..

Federal character is a bullpoo . The same syndrome that took Nigeria hostage since 1960. I am politically neutral and would never support mediocre engendered by federal character. What has been the achievement of federal character since inception, absolute farce misplacement of priority. It is high time we began to give out appointments based on credibility, ability and capacity, and do away with appointments of compensation.

Forget Biafra, it's a mirage. The sooner we stop dreaming about Biafra, the better it is for the Easterners.

Even if the presidency wishes to use expatriates or his kinsmen to achieve his promises to the masses, he has my support. Who cares where appointees come from?

It's funny that the same people who were shouting for Rose Uzoma sack when she was accused of employing too many Igbos without due observance of the federal character,, are the ones now saying that it doesn't matter where the appointees are from.

Biafra is a mirage? You need your head examined, you are an ignorant being, you mean our forerunners fought for and sacrificed their lives for a mirage? You need help asap.

And oh, there is nothing like being politically neutral, it doesn't exist, it's obvious from your post where your allegiance lies.
There have been many threads on NL about the the role of federal character on the cut off marks for entrance into federal unity schools, where a Jigawa candidate only needs to score 2 to be admitted, while his Anambra counterpart is required to score 139 to be admitted. I didn't see your post in any of those threads condemning such practice, instead most of the Arewa-Odua people here now telling us why we should do away with the federal character , just to exonerate their demi God Buhari, were seen supporting federal character in those threads.

Ndi ara.

So we did not give ourselves a fighting chance because we are afraid the Yorubas and Hausas would not let us win. So we sir back and hope to get handed a position in a government we didn't support ahead of the Hausas and Yorubas who did.

You need Jesus..

There is no "We", you are not an Igbo, right from your Okija juju days.

APC couldn't give Ndiigbo that are with them appointment posts , it's now Senate presidency that they will give to them without reminding them as usual that majority of Ndiigbo didn't vote for Buhari and APC, when they almost killed themselves because of Ekweremadu emergence as a deputy Senate president.

Nobody trusts a traitor, the Igbos in APC will get exactly what the rest of us not with APC will get from this government, and that is nada, nothing, nil, null, take your pick.

They( Igbo APC) are the real losers in this political era, they are not trusted enough by their Arewa-Odua Odua masters to be given juicy posts, no one trust traitors, yet they have been rendered politically irrelevant in Alaigbo as no Igbo person would want to have anything to do with APC, soon they will become political liabilities to APC, and will finally be dumped into political dustbin, never to be heard from again.

But is the voting pattern of the Igbos acceptable to Buhari? 95% of the Igbos voted against Buhari, not on account of competence, integrity or campaign promises but purely on Hatred, religious bias and anti-north sentiments. They went on hate campaigns and insults as an election strategy. But now that Buhari has won, they demand Buhari love them with Key apponitments.

What did this Ohaneze say when Buhari was begging them for support before the elections? Did they not reject him and threw their weight behind Jonathan. No where in the world i have i seen an ethnic group or any other group of people reject a candidiate by as much as 95%, based only on primitive primordial sentiments. It is even more unreasonable to expect this hated person to do you special favours.

Fayose, Fani Kayode and other SW politicains that followed the same path of hate campaigns have attempted to make amends and toned down their insults on the person of President Buhari, but the Igbos have upped the ante and insult Buhari with every word he speaks and any action he takes. No attempt at reconcilliation whatsoever and they demand appointments. Even the Ijaws have made peace with Buhari.

Do not worry, Buhari will meet the minimum constitutional requirements by appointing people from all states of the federation, but i doubt the Igbos will get important or "juicy" appointments.

Ndiigbo believed that Buhari was sectional, parochial and bigoted.

So far, has Buhari proven us wrong?

The Igbos that are with him, those that betrayed their people's stance to stand with Buhari, how has Buhari treated them so far?

Ndiigbo had genuine reasons to believe that Buhari was a tribal bigot see this:http://scannewsnigeria.com/politics/buhari-the-only-leader-ever-who-voted-against-his-nation/

And so refused to vote for him, the onus was on Buhari to prove us wrong by being fair to us in his appointments, but so far, all he had done was confirm our suspicions about him.
