Number one is true. Expecially before going to the exam hall. My academic adviser told me never to force myself to stay up all night if I have exams the next day. I should eat very well, read very well and the sleep very well. And I tell u, that helped me so much expecially on those days when I have only one course to battle with.

Moderation is the key.
That is true. How many sleep deficient Nigerians are truly successful or will eventually be successful. The time they should use for sleep which will eventually rejuvenate their health and mental state, they will use such time watching films, partying and other activities that are inimical to their mental health.

The recommended duration of sleep for an adult is 7 hours in a day. If you have the opportunity 30minutes or 1 hour nap is not a bad idea, and then have roughly 6 hours of sleep at night. That means if you sleep at 10pm you should be up between 4am or 5am. We now have growing cases of mental instability and disorder among Nigerians in Urban areas which experts have traced to lack of sleep and drug abuse(in some cases these drugs also obstructed the sleep process)

How do you expect working class people/businessmen to observe siesta? Or is this your write-up only for students and unemployed? Personally,I think sleep is for the poor. Great/successful men don't spend their productive hours sleeping.

I said "productive hours". You don't expect the CEO of a blue chip company to be observing siesta during work hours,when He's supposed to be attending important meetings with business partners.

That was why, I said the recommended duration is between 7hours and 8 hours. Having a good nite sleep of 7 to 8hours cannot be referred to as oversleep.

It depends on your work schedule people on night shift and night guards sleep during the day and work at night. Having a nap of about 30 minutes during the day is very good for the brain.

Balance is key, we cannot disobey the law of nature. Do you know what the CEO is doing in his office most times when he tells his secretary that he does not want to attend to visitors for the next one hour? He is probably having a nap. Due to the nature of my job and business, I do not always observe the recommended 8 hours sleep+nap but I try to pay my sleep debt on weekends and public holidays. I do have a total of 12 hours sleep+nap on some weekends and public holidays
