Igbos How Far? I Am Vindicated Less Than 24 Hours After My Last Post. by alcatraz002: 8:05pm On Sep 30, 2015
I posted a thread yesterday lamenting the plight of the igbos and how they continue shooting themselves in the foot by hating Yorubas but I was insulted and lampooned by igbos on this board.

Now less than 24 hours since I posted that thread, Uche Secondus a self acclaimed IGBO man has said that the PDP Presidential ticket has been zoned to the North. The PDP has presently constituted is an IGBO/BIAFRAN party and the structures of the party is currently being controlled by IGBOS. My question goes thus: is there no Credible IGBO man in the whole of Nigeria that can be presented to vie for PRESIDENT? I want my Igbo brothers to answer this question. AM I BEING VINDICATED OR NOT?

When we preach to the igbos to change their ways and build bridges, insults will rain like missiles from fighter jets in Syria. Igbos only know how to exhibit extreme hubris and chestbeat. An EDO man has better chances of being Nigerian President than an IGBO man. Sincerely I feel sorry for IGBOS. All igbos reading this knows it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for an Igbo man to as much as near the Vice President seat of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I know I will be insulted and maligned by igbos who will comment on this thread but we will keep preaching for attitudinal change by the igbos.

This PDP zoning is a clear message for the igbos.Let the insults begin!!!

Mr man,you don't seem to get it.......the north has held power for a long time, but till today, its still ravaged by poverty, polio and almajiris.....
Also Nigerian mentality that an igbo president will divide Nigeria is one of the many reasons for the biafran agitation, irrespective of the length of bridge one builds.....that notion first has to be corrected b4 any fault games.
The BIAFRANS you see today may not be the BIAFRANS of the civil war,the agitations/boycotting of elections by igbos you see today may not be what we want, but Nigeria is making it look like our last resort..that notion is what is resurrecting the agitation for Biafra and it's only a matter of time..

Talk about unity:Igbos are actually the most social friendly ethnic group in Nigeria, that's why we are everywhere in Nigeria, unlike other tribes that are so isolated in their regions.
We unit Nigeria.

Before something spoils,it smells. cool
Biafra we want,Biafra we shall get..
You can shove your president up ur shitty a*ss.

good attitude goes a long way and yesterday,s show of shame alone push back the possibility of ig o preaidency by another 30 years

Please I want my Igbo country men to contribute actively to this thread naaa. Let's discuss how we can salvage the igbos from this self inflicted slavery.

I state it here and now that the igbos on Nairaland should all bow their heads in shame becasy within a period of 6 years you have made almost all Nigerians hate the Igbo tribe more than we did just after the Civil war. On this site owned by a Yoruba a man you have radicalized hitherto friendly Yoruba's who are the only people that still tolerate you in Nigeria. Because of your rants, Igbos lost a commissioner seat in Lagos cabinet, because of you, Yoruba's want you out of Lagos.

The reason for my pity for igbos of late is due to the realization that Igbos are really trapped in a country where they are hated and they can't ascend the highest office in their country. I know most of the hateful igbos on this site live and work in alaigbo and they don't care about the effect of the hate rhetoric on normal peace loving igbos in other parts of Nigerians. Hateful igbos online need to apologise to the igbos in other parts of the Country for what you have put them through in this country.

The wounds of the Jonathan regime will take a long time to heal. Igbos should never have shown their contempt for Yoruba's due to how powerful the Yoruba's are in Nigeria.

I know I will be insulted and I am waiting.

A third world Nigeria already to transitioning to fourth world, and some people are bothered about the fact that the igbo ethnic group that transcends this useless entity is not its president.
Igbo sons and daughters are high-ranking politicians in much civilized climes . Nigeria is a hopeless state.
A country where almajiris and paedophiles dictate national direction is nothing but hopeless, and i am happy that the igbo nation is not a part of such charade.

It's funny that Igbos are asked to build bridges with others when other's aren't asked to build bridges with Ndigbo.
What does a 'Yoruba' bridge offer Ndigbo? Put it on the table and we'll talk.

I as an Igbo man am not a slave and neither are you, so don't like the politics section of Nairaland confuse you from reality.

Also, the PDP presidential ticket hasn't been zoned or discussed. This is coming from party members, not the internet.

You are a fool.
The average igbo man in Nigeria has a much higher standard of living than the rest Nigeria.
That is the most important thing.
Brown roof proliferation , VVF, terrorism, child marriage, wild spread chronic poverty, are the symptoms of slavery and i am sure you can agree that those are not present in igboland.

You know Nigeria is hopeless when progress is measured by how much political positions you are able to corner based on voting bloc gotten through corruption and almajiri proliferation.
The statistics on education, poverty alleviation, healthcare accessibility, female equality and empowerment which the rest of the world use to measure progress is alien to backward Nigerians.
It is how much political slots highly corrupt ethnic godfathers are able to coner to their friends and families.

Right. I don't see how Igbos are 'slaves' when there are actual slaves in the North. People that are owned by other people and sold as property. Inherited by their children, and work estates/farms. Real living slavery exists in Nigeria so we should take hypothetical slavery out of the equation.

One legacy of the civil war is Igbos being overtly critical of each other. A renegade will go to a public forum and criticize whatever they see as the 'problem' with the rest of the group. We are 1 academically, 1 one industry, 1 in commerce 1 in sports 1 in entertainment 1 in urban and rural development. We have the highest life expectancy according to the UN, we met our Millennium Development Goals first, We're among the only states that aren't in debt, he have the highest literacy and the safest state in Nigeria according to the Nigerian police department (Enugu). We have the most millionaires.

People will then turn around and say 'we' aren't good politically, but we are governors in 7 states, more than any other ethnicity. We are represented in governments of 4 out of 5 regions and we are the backbone of the People's Democracy Party which controls roughly 48% of the Nigerian political sphere, as well as APGA, and the Labor Party.

We're in the UK government in number, the polish government, and the US government. We're debatably in the presidency of Gabon

I think we're doing alright with or without these alleged bridges. I can't name a group of people in Africa that have done a better job reaching out to others. I have no Yoruba neighbors in Owerri, and there are none in our government. While we're in their government and they have Igbo neighbors. So who's reaching out to who?

Don't mind these backward lots.
Politics is the only thing they care about. Hardwork and productivity is alien to them.
The igbo man and woman is breaking new political frontiers in great nations of the world and some people are trying to restrict us to a failed nation of Nigeria.
How many fulani or northerners are major political players in civilized nations?. Backward Nigeria is where they like to strut their furs.
A Nigeria that has become a global pariah and a symbol of gross mismanagement, widespread poverty, endemic corruption and national laziness.

Why not just do a referendum and end this illusion once and for all? The average south easterner wants a corrupt-free Nigeria with equitable wealth distribution, not BIAFRA. How dare you guys generalize the selfish agitation of a few as the collective will of majority of people from the south east?

Nigeria is a failed state.
Where were you when Nnamdi azikiwe was mesmerizing britain with superior arguments and making a case for an independent Nigeria only to have less intelligent folks constitute nuisance and posing as ruling class based on an unproductive population?
The phenomenon where nitwits constitute the ruling class is synonymous to subsaharan africa.
The only thing i am proud of is that unlike other part of africa where nitwits control everything, the igbos have able to dominate in areas that matters.
