So if the hausas are 35m and the fulanis are 20m.
This makes the Hausa-fulani language 55m.
Also don't forget that parts of ilorin is fulani.

55m simply means they are approximately 33% of naijas population

Hausa-Fulani is not a legit ethnic group.
Both of you can come together for political or religious purposes, but that does not mean the two groups are the same .

what are you fighting for now?
that 3 million is to be added to your 32 million Igbo population to equal 35 million?
Stop taking things like as if Igbo's are deliberately being cheated!
I as a yoruba man see the stats of this thread as estimated figures. The day a true presidential election is contested BTW Hausa, Ibo & Yoruba candidates is the day you ll know who's more populated.

Nope. All I am asking for is a free and fair census to be conducted for the actual numbers to be known, not 'estimated' figures that only serve to put some people ahead of the others. However, I do believe that the population of the Igbos is under-represented.

Common sense is not common in nigeria. Common sense should tell anyone that any group of people that are most popoulous in their region and second most popoulous outside their's are automatically the most popoulous group.Only one group has met this demographic indices- The Igbo.

The problem is that they are afraid to say the Igbo are the most popoulous because it negates their criminal census figures.

If ethnicity and Religion is not recorded during the next census like the USA does, they are just wasting their time.

It is clear that the figures of Nigerias population is doctored to favour the north. Even a pre colonial British soldier who was part of the people that rigged the very first census made a well documented confession.

The Hausa and Fulani have never been found in other major cities in Nigeria in huge numbers except in their own homelands. The places in Nigeria that drives huge population are Lagos and Portharcourt and their nunbers are not sizeable compared to the two other large tribes.
Little wonder the Hausas and Fulanis are always very census conscious, from threatning to pull out of the censors if tribes , state of origin and religion are included and ganging up against the past chairman of the census commision.

Funny how Kano be compared to Lagos the most important city in Africa. Kano should be compared to Warri in terms of population. The then Lagos government was smart to reject the result of such laughable census and conducted her own.
Even Gen Babangida regime conducted a 1990 population censors where the nunber of males where higher than female! I think the UN rejected it.

The large desert-infested region up north are number thieves. They arent that many in numbers.

You can hate me if you must but the truth needs some front roll

without that slave master you cant be writing this shit here in Nairaland but would have been primitively living in one thick jungle with your ...! Since you left white man foreign religion to that your ancentral religion, has that change your frustrated life at all. Go to your village and town and see how frustrated the worshippers of your dear sango-amadioha-ogun is faring. You should try to write with that your local dialect/language since you are not happy with your parents for raising you in English. That English, you must have even gotten F9 and even never attempted to do that your local language. Mind you, there is nothing like western-foreign religion but purely middle eastern-far east non western religion in its real sense. The whites: europeans and americans got it from middle east non caucasoid race. I hate this bla bla talk on white man religion. Lets build naija. Happy independent.

I will attend to all what you have written one after the other

• Yes without the slave master I wouldn't be writing in a foreign man's language, that majority of our kids finds it hard to assimilate, I would ve been happily writing in my own indigenous language. No thanks to colonization.

• Living in the Jungle ? Are you for real ? The cradle of civilization started from Africa, most ancient mummies, artifacts and discoveries all reads Africa. Do you know the Black Africans actually built the Egyptian pyramid, checkout the ancient Ashanti tribe constructions, or our own Nok art, the Ethiopian ancient construction, the monomatopa in Zimbabwe, Africans discovered Mathematics, the wheels and many more. Our ancestors are so kind to a fault, peaceful and loving, they welcomed these foreigners into our land but these ancient western men took advantage of our ancestors. They are the initiator of evil, destroyed them physical, emotionally and mentally, they took all of our discoveries and made it theirs, covering all the traces linking to its origin Africa. They want you and I the New age African to think our ancestors was as dumb as they portrayed them to be in their doctored movies and documentary. We really need to wake up from the mind-control these people has put us through for centuries. We are one big continent, with or without them we would be very successful.

• I care less if I score even something far lower than F9 in English but would weep if I hadn't passed one indigenous language

• Yes Christianity that most people in this part of the world hold in high esteem was a hijacked and a corrupted Jewish worship or Judaism, the Roman hijacked that religion and included their ancient pagan worship to bring about Christianity. Now tell me how does Yahushua the original name of the Christian christ relates with Jesus, now look at their own god called Zeus and Jesus

• I would rather worship my Amadioha, Sango and the rest African gods than to bow down to a foreign god, who told you the pagan worshipers are frustrated. Is Wole Soyinka not one, the late Chinua Achebe is a real Traditionalist, the late Fela Ransome Kuti and many more. Are these great men all frustrated as you have claimed

Africans wake up ! And embrace true Africanism, let's dig out more facts about our history and culture

Thank you

I am pretty sure there are more Igalas than Nupes in Nigeria.

Bros, you can lie o. Nupes are Majority in Niger, Many in Kwara, Kogi (infact original inhabitants of Lokoja), some are from Kaduna and lastly FCT.

Igalas are just found within very few kilometers. Itobe (after Ajaokuta) ...Odolu(near Nsukka)... Agbaduma (after Ankpa)....Ogugu.... Bagana (After Abejukolo).... Dekina. Igala land don finish. Tell me where again? let me even pity by adding ibaji area. And you said that you are pretty sure. Area of coverage of nupes in Kwara alone is almost as big as the whole Igala land.

Take note that the population too shouldn't be compared.

How many tribes does Igalas have sef? Under the original Nupe, we have Basanges, Kakandas, Dibos and so on. When you add all, the figure can no longer be 2 percent.

Research well.

A country so rich culturally but gradually replacing all the beautiful cultural splendor with the slave master's culture

1. Parents will boldly teach their children English first before their mother tongue (My parents are guilty of this)

2. Personalizing or to extent of even sacrificing their own life to an alien religion ( Most people carry the religion for head pass the foreigners wey get am self)

3. Calling their own culture and believes idol worship, not knowing that western religion given to them is a Roman idol worship in disguise.

I can go on nd on..
