People are implying that they are saints. British monarch rulers and family squander most of their wealth on luxury trips, purchase of multiple assets and propaganda visits all on government funds, but how many of these thieves have they arrested?
I have read every comment on this thread and I have not seen anyone that said the English are saints..
If the English are saints, there won't be need for police or judiciary in the first place ..

Not here to defend British monarchs, but mornachs dont control things in England , the government does.
Mornach are rich already just like most Nigerian monarchs

I came here to read from the Wailers and so far they are not disappointing.

Waiting for the chief Wailers thread to counter this news. You guys can suggest a topic for him.

Meanwhile days ago some idiot opened a thread that the husband went to threaten PMB in Aso Rock. Now I know he went to beg him to plan for the arrest of his treacherous wife.

Better days are here indeed.

WAILERS DALUU O!

I'm not impressed by this bribery charge. Worst case, she gets a couple of years prison term and return to enjoy her loot.

She need to vomit the billions stashed away in various accounts know to the same British folks who arrested her.

President Buhari should push the British authorities to squeeze all the loot out. Locking Diezani in prison for a few years while the Brits enjoy the looted funds in their financial institutions is unacceptable.

I really hope this is just a start, i have a feeling our government submitted some documents to effect this arrest. Remember Buhari just a few days ago in New york the trial of oil thieves will begin soon

Keep deluding yourself, mate.

The snail should have either arrested her in naij, or declared her wanted and make the UK send her back to naij for trials - since both countries are cordial.

The fact that the UK made the first move isn't smart at all. With that, the UK will keep a higher percentage of whatever they get from her. It doesn't make any business sense whatsoever. The Brits just showed you why Africans will always be babies who need the West to crawl.

Anyway, it's great that she has been arrested and she'll most likely spend some time in UK prison.

Keep deceiving yourself and lies all the way to hell. What corruption and bribery is it in UK or Nigeria That newspaper that report such is mad. To what authority or connection does British has to arrest her And on what ground Did she stole British money Or now to you Mr newspaper it's now British who is to fight for corruption in Nigeria

I'm sure it's apc again talking with no sense because I can't understand what connection does corruption in Nigeria has to do with British police without Nigeria govt authorised her arrest or EFCC authorised it pls tell me Fools

The news is on NCA's twitter feed...and it's legit.

I honestly don't know why naij can't arrest its criminals by itself...and these plonkers always have to wait for the UK to do it, yet the country is an independent country. Just so you know - the UK did this for its own interest cos I'm sure they know how much she stole and they have been watching her for a long time. And at least 60% of whatever she stole and her assets in the UK belongs to the UK...naij would be extremely lucky to get 30%.

This has nothing to do with ya snail-slow president - this is the UK catching a big fish that they have been watching closely for a long time.

Anyway, this is the department that arrested her and what they do:

And this is NCA's twitter feed:
https://twitter.com/NCA_UK

Baseless and unnecessary conclusion. This is a multi national investigation including Nigeria. International arrests and searches were conducted simultaneously all over the world including by the efcc in Nigeria..

And please don't be too quick to jump to the conclusion that we won't get out money back because the countries involved have pledged to do just that..

“Many agencies across several countries are involved
in this investigation. Anti-money laundering agencies
in Austria, France, Switzerland, Nigeria and UK are
working together on it.”

The immediate past Minister of Petroleum
Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, was on
Friday arrested in the UK National Crime Agency,
PREMIUM TIMES can exclusively and
authoritatively report.

The former minister, who was one of the most
powerful officials of the President Goodluck
Jonathan administration, was arrested Friday
morning alongside four other people by the
British law enforcement agency.

The identities of the four other people arrested
along with her could not be immediately
ascertained.

PREMIUM TIMES learnt she was arrested for
offences related to bribery and corruption being
investigated by the UK National Crime Agency.
Two top British officials in London have however
confirmed the development to this newspaper.
They requested not to be named because they
have no permission to speak on the issue.
The British High Commission in Nigeria confirmed
that some arrests were made Friday but declined
to disclose the identities of those involved.
Joseph Abuku, Press and Public Affairs Officer,
said, “This morning, five people between the
ages of 21 and 60 were arrested on suspicion of
bribery and corruption offences. The crimes are
being investigated by the National Crime Agency.
“The National Crime Agency does not confirm
identity at arrest nor provide information that
could be used to corroborate the identity of an
arrested individual.”
