It's not about collapsing an economy it can pay for some much needed facilities up north for example or an extra teaching hospital or one or two life saving pieces of equipment for one or two hospitals.

That is more important to us than supplying gas that is not paid for. Ghana is taking liberties and if you fail to pay time after time we should not supply you.....simple.

Until you pay we should stop supplying you. If I were Petroleum minister I would have halted supply until we were paid or offer another African country who will pay on time.

I would put Nigeria first and make sure we get paid for the gas we supply because 180 million can be put to use in our economy. If we are not paid why should we supply?
then u will surely lose all ur customers. Business isnt always cash and carry.

Lol...if Jiggaman owes money he would pay "fast fast"...... We need our gas and the payment plus late fees, biko.

Soon, you guys will be begging us to take the gas out your hand.

Doesn't she remind you of shizzy7. They broke the contract, they still owe us $10 million.

Subtract 10 mill from what you owed then pay us the rest.

Nigeria should keep her gas. Or sell to those that pay.

i think nigerians are patriotic too but the problem i observe is ego, tribal egos.....each major nigerian tribe has been prosperous but at times they need to forget abt tribes and get together to plan and support nigeria..... If this can be done and the blame games end then no one and nothing can stop nigeria.
Nigerians have beein indoctrinated and manipulated by corrupt elites that have employed tribal, religious and partisan sentiments as tools to maintain their theft and keep the populace busy and divert their(masses) attention from their evil deeds. Unfortunately, Nigerians are falling for it. Nigerians need to interract with our West African brothers so as to get another perspective when addressing issues.

No we won't lose all our customers because others pay. A customer that is does not pay is a debt. There is always an acceptable timeframe in which to pay that is not to be taken advantage of. Nigeria is not donating to charity.

I really don't get it , here are Nigerians complaining about miserble $180 million like it's going to change the power supply or curve the poverty in the country.

Nigeria should focus on government officials that are stealing billions instead of 180 million.

They are just making a big deal of the country that owes the money. If it was Liberia, niger or Ivory Coast, I bet it wouldn't even be news. But since it's Ghana, they want to boast.

I beg go Commot yourself somewhere.

So you really think that 180 million is make any difference. This's just for bragging rights. That 180 will end up in the pocket of one official.

This's nothing but for bragging rights.

Bros supplying gas and not being paid is not even business. Nah charity oh...lol

I don't want Ghana to go into darkness but I want Nigeria to get paid for the gas we supply. We have areas of need for those funds. Further more it is not Ghana's business what happens to the money once paid.

to me its all begins and ends with yoruba-igbos. Whatever happened in the past should be forgotten and both tribes should move on together. When dis happens other things will fall in places.

We will start paying when we see consistent supply of gas. Since its inception gas supply from Nigeria has been erratic.

My friend, Nigeria is indebted to others in billions of Dollars. Should they tell us to pay every dime before they offer us further service like you are recommending we do the the Ghanians? Even the Almighty America is heavily indebted to the Chinese. All we need is their commitment to pay hoping that things be better for the Ghanian economy so that they can meet their financial obligation to us. Beside, $181million(less than N4.5billion) is peanut when compared with the billions that our polithiefcians steal daily. What even makes you think that the said $181million won't be looted when/if paid?

We are not going to pay till we see consistent gas supply.

If Nigerias govt thinks supplying Ghana gas will give it international recognitions, I purely doubts it because charity begins at home.

Until we value and respect our own personnel and nationality and curb corrupt acts at all levels, ds ship may sink like Titanic.

I blame mahama for all this embarrassment. The guy is very corrupt and since taking office Ghana has regress to point of our rivals are now making fun of us because of 180 million.

Fact remains this government doesn't like paying its bills whether it's doctors, teachers or athletes. Look at the embarrassment he cause us during the World Cup.

Mahama must leave come 2016. Enoug with the embarrassment.
