Building on the skill you have learnt is another key factor to consider. I realise the market is not for mediocre. If you are into something, be good at it. 1 Like 1 Share |

In my previous articles, I have tried to define customer relationship management and look at some of the benefit of customer loyalty to a customer-centric enterprise as well as talked about how you can raise the exit barrier for your customers. I also talked about some of the qualities that you will always find in an ideal customer centric enterprise. In this article, I want to talk more about three basic questions that you need to ask yourself as a customer centric enterprise. Follow me as we look at these fundamental concepts together. #1: HOW MANY CUSTOMERS? In one of my articles, I have tried to define who a customer is. Some organizations cannot identify who their real customer is. Your customer is not necessarily the end user, enjoying your product. It might be someone who is paying for the service which is been enjoyed by another person entirely. Some organizations nowadays just opened shops and are hoping that customers will come around and pick whatever they have for sales. This is not too good for a customer centric enterprise. You have to know the actual number of customers that you have and know who is actually paying for those services. When you look at telecommunication networks for example, all what they count is the total number of active users. Mark Zukerberg will only tell you the total number of active users on facebook. Some of the business owners cannot really tell you the total number of customers that they have. All this is not too good for business. Knowing the total number of your contacts will help you to prepare adequately for your customers and retain them for life. #2: HOW MANY PRODUCTS? This is another question that customer centric enterprise has to answer if they want to retain customers for life. They should be able to say, without mincing word, how many of their product is been owned by a customer. Many of the big organizations most especially Insurance firms cannot say how many of their policies is been owned by a particular customer. Some organizations that have subscribers find it extremely difficult to do this also. In a nutshell,. If organizations could not answer the question of how many of their products is been owned by a particular customer, they will not be able to come up with a loyalty program for such customer and this might make them to lose such customers to competitors. #3: HOW MANY CONTACTS The question of how many contacts is another question that customer centric must seriously answer if they want to evolve into a true customer centric enterprise. When we talk of contacts here, we are talking about the number of contacts that the organization has to talk to before they can make changes in their account with the organization. If I want to update my contact address for example, what do I have to do? Even in a company with subsidiaries, how easy is it to effect changes across product lines? All these will affect the perception of customers about the organization. These questions are a good beginning to any CRM effort, because they provide both an assessment of the current CRM state as well as the knowledge of what you be addressed in order to succeed as well. CRM, you should know is a balance of organizational culture, strategy and information. |

MsGlobalwonder: You're not alone when it comes to learning prudence the hard way; most of us had to learn from our own costly mistakes. Some of those mistakes took us five years or so backwards. Smart people should learn from the mistakes of others. Thanks for the kind show of affection and love. You do wreak NO havoc here, my dear. The winter is coming, and we all MUST be prepared for it. I'm sorry you had to learn the hard way. 1 Like |

Do you remember you gave out some financial intelligence books one time? I'm a proud and grateful recipient. Trust me it's not commonplace for anyone to share intellectual properties FOC! I mean, you are so so particular about lives of "virtual" people? Poeple you don't know and may not meet? ... i'm also learning selflessness! MsGlobalwonder: I could run an entire page of commentary on those few lines of yours. MizMycoli taught me to write ONLY when I'm inspired. Thanks for the kind words; you seem unselfish with them. Financial intelligence book? I hardly can recall though I'm aware I've opened a few thread ls over that issue. I take that topic very seriously. I'm glad you're learning so much; I am too. I'm so particular about the success and happiness of others like I'm about my own. Thanks. 1 Like 1 Share |
