The Bible is a guide to salvation for man. You dont need to inform your Priest before reading the Bible.

And please praising your Priest. He is imperfect like you and i. Your Priest too can tell lies

Did she informed the priest before reading the bible or are you giving her imaginary accusation?

if the bible was so clear and straight forward why do we have over 30,000 protestant sects all teaching different doctrines?

The Bible is clear and straighforward. With the help of the Holy Spirit, one can get a better understanding of the Bible.

Its people like you that choose to interpret the content of the Bible in so many different and confusing ways just to gather naive followers and enrich yourselves.

simple question, the church and the bible which is older?

The bible has NEVER been the sole authority in d christian church. Just the way the constitution is not d sole source of authority in nigeria, d courts must interprete what it says.

During the time of the apostles, the apostle themselves and the elders were d teaching authority in d church along with d old testament. It was d apostles and elders who interpreted and taught what was written by d prophets.
After the apostles died their teaching came down as letters (which d church lata gathered and calld d bible), and the witness of their disciples who learnt from them and transmit the faith (dis is calld apostolic tradition), d elders were still d teaching authority.
So there has been 3 distinct source of authority in d church, d bible, apostolic tradition and the churchs' teaching authority.

Are you implying that the Church is older than the Bible?

But you use image on your phone, doesn't it contradict the commandment of no image. Can't you support no infant baptism with your bible?
yes there are images on the phones and everywhere but do we worship them? are they part of our worship? Pls try and read Exodus 20:4,5,6. Concerning baptism, when do you baptize? You baptize when u repent, believe and accept Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour. What do kids know? You cant judge kids until they come of age to know right and wrong. Baptism is not for kids. There is no account of baptis for kids in the bible. If we are xtians by account of the bible then let's follow it and not bend

are you a christian?

u should go get ur bible and read it after saying a short prayer to d holy spirit.

The bible never claims to b d sole source of authority or d sole index of christian practice. The catholic church predate d bible in its present form. The leader of the church is also a teaching authority for d church read acts 15.

And lastly i think u should go back to catechism class and learn what d catholic church teaches.

You lie man.

The Bible is God's word and no Church (not even the Catholic Church) can predate God's word.

You are no different from the Pharisees in the Bible who preferred to overwhelm the the ordinary man with its human traditions.

As Christians, the Bible should be the main source of teaching. Anything asides that is simply a deviation from pure worship.

And for the records, the op doesnt need to attend Catechism classes. Followers are brainwashed in such classes.

Read the Exodus yourself, did you not see don't make there, and you made, idolatrous tins.

Secondly, can't you quote the bible again, infant baptism is not quotable or beyond your scope

the bible is a standard for me, but it is also a standard for 30,000 protestand sects and yet they cant agree on doctrine. That tell u something more is needed. JESUS didnt come to earth to write a bible he came to build his church, are u in that Church or are u labouring in d vineyard of men?
yes i agree with you, Jesus didn't come to write the bible. The bible tells me about Him. The Holy Spirit teaches me to understand and guides me to follow in His steps and not in the doctrine of men. I labour in God's vineyard and not men. Broad is the way that leads to death and narrow is the way that leads to life. God still have remnants that follow truth. I don't follow multitude

@op
The Catholic church was not made for the bible, rather the bible was made by the Catholic church for the Catholic church.

Catholic church worshipped Jesus hundreds of years before they compiled the new testament of the bible where the words of Christ were authenticated.
So I am still amazed how some people out there would abandon the church because the church have produced an infallible book called bible, instead of proclaiming the church infallible.

The word of God is spirit, so it is only with spirit you will decode what God is saying. Christ sent the holy spirit to the Catholic church, which has led her to all thruth(john 16:13). The bible the Catholic church gave you is a piece of truth, the whole embodiment of truth is in the Catholic church.

Interpretation of the bible is not your job, the bible was written in Greek and Latin, so anything you try to do with translated versions especially English versions is bound to be wrong.

I pity some people who stay inside their room to produce interpretation of the bible, when they know the holy spirit cannot give two different interpretation of the same passage or contradict what it gave to the Catholic church 2000 years ago. Invention of churches is against the will of Holy spirit (John 17: 23), and it is a top scandal for the most holy cause.

@op do not listen to mushroom interpreters on this forum, they have no doctrine, but invent improvise doctrines to suit nomadic transitions. The word of God is static and Catholic doctrines are static, none has contradicted the other in its 2000 years in existence. So don't shake at all.

No one should heed this man.

He is an apostate.

How on earth can you say that the bible was made by the Catholic Church and for the Catholic Church? This is a big fat lie.

The Bible is God's word and is a gift to mankind to guide those who are led by it to salvation.

Your obvious lack of comprehension is becoming amusing.

Read through the op's post once again and this time very slowly so you can see where she said she will inform her Priest first before reading the Bible

No infant baptism is a 21st century innovation with no biblical support, both of us who need biblical support, the innovator or the person who came to see your innovation?

Your inability to provide atleast one example means that there are no recorded example(s) of infant baptism in the Bible.
