Actually, HTGAWM is not by Shonda, it's from one of her Shondaland disciples/acolytes/whatever, she executive produces the show.
Anywho, finally finished watching the episode, Lucious knows he didn't elevate Jamal's sound - Cookie has got the Midas touch. And WTH with the angry/happy face he gave while hugging his son, talk about 2-faced. Lucious' demons are coming to roost. I was honestly wondering whether the pastor was really at the studio...I was wondering if he was an illusion when he was giving his advice. I love the fact Andre stated exactly what I was saying way back when, about his father's treatment of him. Oh and plus one other thing, Lucious didn't even try to get the Huey session for Jamal, Jamal got it through his mentor without Lucious' help. Is that why Lucious pulled the 2face moment?

See the way I was cheering and hollering when lil' mamacita (one day I'll remember her name) usurped that second string hoochie (I really should stop watching American telly) to regain her position. I loved lil' mamacita's rendiction of Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive.

Nice seeing Jamal & Cookie recording together, even drunk they still make excellent music.

Cookie...girl your boy toy has got your ass sprung. 3 days! He certainly got the cookie...Although, the whole shake down thing is rather messy and could have been done better & tighter, even my barely functioning ass could have written a better scenario... Hakeem, I'm slowly coming round to your side, you dey grow small small.

u can't compare empire to power. Power is miles ahead. A good series should have a lot of suspense. That's why you'll anticipate the next episode / season. Power is too interesting, empire is just a show, nothing special and intriguing. Power may be sexually explicit, but it still has a greater story. I only saw empire because of the buzz around it. First season wasn't so bad though, but it's nowhere near power's league by my standards.

That wasn't an illusion...the pastor was right there in the studio with andre. If you listen carefully, after andre's flashback of how he almost shot himself at that exact spot, the pastor asked "what are we doing here andre?".

Meanwhile, WTH @ that scene where cookie made a deal with same crew who kidnapped her son? A very wrong move, and one she's surely regret.

The only thing keeping the series going is the fact that Olivia Pope and Fitz's relationship is still being kept as a boyfriend/girlfriend thing. The moment they get married, the show ends and Olivia keeps stalling for very dumb reasons which would make a normal guy dump her a$$ but Fitzgerald Grant is just a 'mumu' .
