The only thing Most Nigerians know about Kogi State apart from being the confluence town(Lokoja) is where Travellers alight to Urinate & eat during a journey. There's nothing developmental in dat state. A local govt of an average developed state is better off dan Lokoja. I think its time 4 Kogites elect someone who will bring development 2 dat state & erase dat 'STOP to URiNATE' mentality from people's mind. Kogi should be a Tourist Centre & not a PUBLIC TOILET. ......#ARISE KOGITES# #annibro said so# 7 Likes 1 Share |

Kbs468: Tough Nut to crack. PDP may take advantage of this, because the election is not concluded yet. Had it been the election was conclusive then the APC Deputy Governor candidate will step in automatically. But as it is, it may turn out that in the eyes of the law, the APC has no Gubernatorial candidate and as such votes casted for APC are null and void. |

Only God can save us. Strange things happen in Nigeria. God is talking, but Nigerians are not listening and are not learning. One of the leaders of the APC was murdered in Bayelsa State, because of the desperation of the PDP to retain the governorship of the home state of former President, Goodluck Jonathan. Nigerian politicians have committed many abominations in their bloody evil greed for power. Many innocent people have been used for ritual sacrifice for money and political power. That is why they are powerless against Boko Haram, because their hands are not clean. God does answer the prayers of the wicked until they repent. Both leaders of the new ruling party, APC and former ruling party PDP must repent, otherwise Nigeria will never know peace. Let us pray for the mercy of Almighty God JEHOVAH. |

Heard he died of high blood pressure! This should teach us that after all the struggle our lives are in God's hands he can take us at his own will! His running mate would have become the governor but he wasn't declared the winner, so obviously a rerun election it is.... RIP to the dead tho! 1 Like |

Re: Abubakar Audu Is Dead - Sahara Reporters by interoute: 8:41pm On Nov 22, 2015 |
The law is silent on when a candidate dies in the course of an election (when election has commenced but yet to be concluded). The law only talked about when a candidate dies before the commencement of an election and when a duly elected person dies after an election but before taking oath of office. Audu is not a person (living being) at this moment and cannot be voted for during the rerun. His running mate is not a valid candidate in this ongoing election also. If APC wins, our legal experts or the court will need to clarify on what should be or if doctrine of necessity will be applied. The interpretation will really help our young democracy Death, etc., of 181 - (1) If a person duly elected as Governor dies before taking and subscribing the Oath of Allegiance and oath of office, or is unable for any reason whatsoever to be sworn in, the person elected with him as Deputy governor shall be sworn in as governor.... 2 Likes |

yns4real: Now who has been elected governor? Audu died without being elected governor as far as the declaration is concerned. So how is this going to play out? Is it right for INEC to go ahead and conduct a re run of an election involving a death man? Does the constitution allow casting your vote for a death canditate as it would be the case if they go ahead with the re run? These are interesting times? |
