Imagine where Senate ooo, as dem ask us now, na who we go ask?? It's really pathetic and annoying dat dis fuel scarcity has lingered dis long and every seems to b comfortable or nigerians have suddenly gone deaf and dumb all of a sudden as no one seems to be really complaining about the situation. Shouldn't any of d ministers of petroleum be talking to Nigerians or even the Senate about the current situation? I still clearly remember how our voices were reaching to d high heavens and screaming blue murder in the not so distant past. ... |

These guys in the house are clowns. Did we vote for them to be acting comedy for us? I think the next assembly we feature Mr Ibu, Osofia and Victor Oswagwu so we can get the best of comedy. |

The dangers when u; because of political affiliation, support high - handedness in governance. When pmb was about appointing himself a minister, some people thought that's the beSt to happen in the industry. They never saw the need for accountability. To them, pmb has , like amaechi, never taken bribe and won't start now. I hope you have seen the red light at the end of ur tunnel. we will continue to suffer it until we start looking dispassionately at our leaders. 1 Like |

So if I may ask, what is the role of a Petroleum Minister? Since Senate had to thank GMB for his "efforts" over worsening fuel scarcity |
Re: Senate Asks Nigerians If They Should Invite Buhari Over The Fuel Scarcity (Pic) by saint047(m): 6:08pm On Nov 24, 2015 |
It's now very laughable
A Petroluem Minister who ought to be facing
query by Senate is away to Iran
While a motion is passed to thank him |
Re: Senate Asks Nigerians If They Should Invite Buhari Over The Fuel Scarcity (Pic) by saint047(m): 6:09pm On Nov 24, 2015 |
There was never a day Senate under David
Mark resorted to thank GEJ for his commitment
in ending fuel scarcity.
This is the height
We warned about the dangers of having GMB
as Petroleum Minister
Today, the Senate is finding it hard to summon
our Petroleum Minister |

Montaque: There's nothing highhanded about the matter. What is the point of summoning him? Is it a test of humility, obedience or righteousness? Is it a show of power, control, ridicule or frustration? Anyone that reads the news knows already where the buck presently lies. The money to be paid is to be approved by the Senate. The NNPC has been openly and daily talking about the scarcity and the volume they dispense. It's not like Diezani time when nobody knew what was going on. |

OVI75: Busolami2015: Bobbystanley: Answer these questions you bunch of clueless illiterates, Can PMB, the President, summon the Senate President, Speaker of the house, or the Chief Justice of the Federation to appear before the Federal Executive Council? Can the Chief Justice of the Federation summon the President, Senate president or the Speaker of the house to appear before the Federal Judiciary Council? Can the Senate President summon the Chief Justice of the Federation, Speaker of the house or the President of the Federal Republic? Can the Speaker of the House summon the Senate President, Chief Justice of the Federation or the President? Now get this into your flat headed Biafran skulls. PMB is President C in C of the federal republic of Nigeria. He has the power to act in whatever capacity he deems it fit. He is answerable to nobody except the electorates. If he decides not to appoint any minister, no one has the power to question him. Appointment of minister is not binding on him according to the constitution. Even if his ministers is for whatever reason summoned by the Senate, it is still subject to his approval to appear. The Executive, House of Assembly(Senate, House of Reps) and the Judiciary are all independent arms of government with none having controlling power over the other except for checks and balances. |
