I am a born Christain. I believe in the existence of an An
Almighty God. However, i am a radical thinker. I am thinking how true is the religious thinking that God will destroy man his favorite creature and will put him to burn in fire and brimstone in Evalasting HELL FIRE because of his bad deeds, and am thinking, will Almighty only consider his sins and forget about his good deeds? What's ur believe system and what does it say about this teaching? I believe I will learn something from you, from this discussion. Pls lets reason together.

Do hv a great festive week ahead!

A god that can't lift a leaf is capable of burning people in hell. Is counter intuitive.

@ops. you are a Muslim. they believe in good deeds. we don't believe in good deeds. we believe In accepting the deeds of Christ on the cross, because our righteousness (good deeds) can't measure up.

get this slowly.
its not what you did or do. its who u are.
listen. the nature of man was corrupted by Satan in Eden by sin.
God sought to give man a new nature. that's what Christ did on the cross. He exchanged your nature for His. Take the old away, and put on the new.

someone asked me a question once, A man who kills a pregnant woman, gets the baby out of her womb, pound it in the mortar for money rituals, and I who just told a lie, shd both of us go to hell? she asked.

this is the answer I gave to her, Yes. WHY? because the two of you have the same nature. The God who said, thou shall not lie, also said thou shall not kill. so if thou liest but killest not, thou art still of the devil. Children from the same father.

when you lie, you seek to mislead, cover, deny, steal, deprive, etc. that's the motive behind a liar.

God sends no one to hell. hell was not built for man, it was for Satan.
In Eden, when Satan couldn't get God to forgive him just like He(God) forgave man, he swore to drag man down with him.
Satan knows how much God loves man, so he knows that it will hurt God so much to see man in hell.

But God had created man with a will to love Him, accept Him or reject Him, so the power of choice came into play,
so man has to choose.

choose to live or die. Choose btwn good and evil. choose to be with Him or With devil.

To post this thread, you choose. you'll live with ur choices.
Have u ever heard? As you make ur bed...

actually, d Bible says hell was created for satan and his angels. Man was created to replace the office satan lost but he also joined in d rebel against God by going against His instructions intentionally. Man condemned himself to d same judgment satan deserved by joining satan in his rebellion. However, man has always have a second chance to make his was right with God but satan is eternally condemned. hell is just a temporary abode of men who rejected God’s way of escape. D real deal is d lake of fire where devil, all in hell nd all unclean things will b cast into.

God created hell for anyone who rebel, disobey him , human beings, Satan and his angels inclusive. Yes God is loving, merciful to them that love him but he is also terrible, cruel to disobedient children

Is not God that wants to destroy humanity in hell but man himself.

Hahn said that he will rather be with Newton in hell than to be with Ayo Babalola in heaven.

He also said that he don't want to live forever.

With a sincere heart, who is to be blame?

I like Satan for the same reason I like people like Voldermort, Sauron, The joker, and darkseid. everyone loves a Good villain in any fiction story.

What baffles me however, is how badly scripted his character is. In any good story, the Villain is supposed to be more powerful than the protagonist. that would make sense of how the antagonist ever Got that far. and even reviewing the backstory of Satan, There are so many loopholes. first, He wasn't the one who actually corrupted humanity. that was the snake. a mere animal. and even from then, Satan never harmed or killed anyone in the old testament. It was God himself that did all the mass murders.
The verse of the bible which many people largely claim gives a detailed description of Satan's rebellion, Isaiah fourteen twelve or so, is not even talking about Satan at all in any context. it is largely referring to a human being.

Suddenly, in the old testament, the devil becomes the bad Guy. the guy who rebelled and wants our souls for himself. we don't even know why he rebelled. but the claim that he managed to convert a third of the angels to his cause only suggests that he was fighting for a good cause. otherwise, how would you be able to garner that much support?

and why can't God forgive Satan? why can't they reconcile? is the only solution the burning of one in a fire for eternity? i thought divine beings were supposed to be intelligent?

Put yourself in Satan's position. you really don't have a right to hate and condemn him like so . . . because you don't even know what happened. there should always be hope for any being. whether Satan or not. That is . . . in any Good story.

so why do you hate him so much?

The entire chapter 14 of isaiah.

The Lord will have compassion on Jacob;
once again he will choose Israel
and will settle them in their own land.
Foreigners will join them
and unite with the descendants of Jacob.
2
Nations will take them
and bring them to their own place.
And Israel will take possession of the nations
and make them male and female servants in the Lord’s land.
They will make captives of their captors
and rule over their oppressors.

3 On the day the Lord gives you relief from your suffering and turmoil and from the harsh labor forced on you, 4 you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon:

How the oppressor has come to an end!
How his fury[a] has ended!
5
The Lord has broken the rod of the wicked,
the scepter of the rulers,
6
which in anger struck down peoples
with unceasing blows,
and in fury subdued nations
with relentless aggression.
7
All the lands are at rest and at peace;
they break into singing.
8
Even the junipers and the cedars of Lebanon
gloat over you and say,
“Now that you have been laid low,
no one comes to cut us down.”

9
The realm of the dead below is all astir
to meet you at your coming;
it rouses the spirits of the departed to greet you—
all those who were leaders in the world;
it makes them rise from their thrones—
all those who were kings over the nations.
10
They will all respond,
they will say to you,
“You also have become weak, as we are;
you have become like us.”
11
All your pomp has been brought down to the grave,
along with the noise of your harps;
maggots are spread out beneath you
and worms cover you.

12
How you have fallen from heaven,
morning star, son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth,
you who once laid low the nations!
13
You said in your heart,
“I will ascend to the heavens;
I will raise my throne
above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.[b]
14
I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.”
15
But you are brought down to the realm of the dead,
to the depths of the pit.

16
Those who see you stare at you,
they ponder your fate:
“Is this the man who shook the earth
and made kingdoms tremble,
17
the man who made the world a wilderness,
who overthrew its cities
and would not let his captives go home?”

18
All the kings of the nations lie in state,
each in his own tomb.
19
But you are cast out of your tomb
like a rejected branch;
you are covered with the slain,
with those pierced by the sword,
those who descend to the stones of the pit.
Like a corpse trampled underfoot,
20
you will not join them in burial,
for you have destroyed your land
and killed your people.

Let the offspring of the wicked
never be mentioned again.
21
Prepare a place to slaughter his children
for the sins of their ancestors;
they are not to rise to inherit the land
and cover the earth with their cities.

22
“I will rise up against them,”
declares the Lord Almighty.
“I will wipe out Babylon’s name and survivors,
her offspring and descendants,”
declares the Lord.
23
“I will turn her into a place for owls
and into swampland;
I will sweep her with the broom of destruction,”
declares the Lord Almighty.

24 The Lord Almighty has sworn,

“Surely, as I have planned, so it will be,
and as I have purposed, so it will happen.
25
I will crush the Assyrian in my land;
on my mountains I will trample him down.
His yoke will be taken from my people,
and his burden removed from their shoulders.”

26
This is the plan determined for the whole world;
this is the hand stretched out over all nations.
27
For the Lord Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him?
His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?
A Prophecy Against the Philistines

28 This prophecy came in the year King Ahaz died:

29
Do not rejoice, all you Philistines,
that the rod that struck you is broken;
from the root of that snake will spring up a viper,
its fruit will be a darting, venomous serpent.
30
The poorest of the poor will find pasture,
and the needy will lie down in safety.
But your root I will destroy by famine;
it will slay your survivors.

31
Wail, you gate! Howl, you city!
Melt away, all you Philistines!
A cloud of smoke comes from the north,
and there is not a straggler in its ranks.
32
What answer shall be given
to the envoys of that nation?
“The Lord has established Zion,
and in her his afflicted people will find refuge.”
you are free to highlight the verse which says that verse twelve is talking about satan. in fact, you are free to highlight any verse from the entire bible that says that verse twelve is talking about satan.

meanwhile, i will offer evidence of my claims. verse three clearly states what verse twelve is doing in that chapter. it is part of a long poem. meant as a political tool to degrade the Babylonian King who had the Israelite under captive.

I wonder who is cut-crossing the truth now. whatever that means . . .
