MrBuzy: Never, Dont try it. Recently, I bought a gearbox for Acura MDX and requested that the seller should bring a gear specialist to fix the gear. After fixing and using our pureguard, the mechanic told me that sea horse is better than Pureguard. That they have been using seahorse and it works. I drove them away. If you google dexron 111d, it is a strange feeling because there is nothing like Dexron 111d only 11d. PowerDeals: What brand of car do you need the atf for? |

Please I need urgent reply....what kind of ATF should I use for my Toyota avalon 2006 model(saw ws on my manual but I can't find it anywhere, all I see is abro) and secondly should I just top it when I get the fluid or do I have to flush it first. Pls I am asking this questions because I just bought fuel after like few seconds my vehicle started jerking and it takes time to change gear...Pls help a sister in need. |

Hello sooperrescue, I have a gear problem with my Honda accord. All measures have been tried and to solutions but I have made up my mind to buy another gear. I need your brotherly advice on what to look at for before buying it because our people are funny when it comes to matters like this. They claim to sell a tokunbo gear but sometime it is a repaired one. Kindly advice on the gear oil to buy, if it requires scanning after/before and other things to watch out for. Again, lights like ABS, SRS and Engine check displays and the mechanic said if I change the gear box, they will all disappear. Thanks for your help and other suggestion is welcome. |

Sorry for the gear issues but I will add that you wanted these wahalas and you got it. How come you allowed too many trials on your car without being in a position to dictate the way they should fix your car. That said, buying a used gearbox is not the issue except you get the right oil for it. I have bought many gears and 90% of the time, they work but only when you use the right oil for the car. You have not told us which model is your Accord, so I cannot give an accurate advice until we know which Accord you have. |

Hello sooperrescue, pls i need ur advice, i drive a ford explorer 02/03 model i am having issues with the overdrive as the gear finds it difficult to shift into the overdrive gear. i have changed the gear oil (though the mechanic guy used abro) twice now but the problem still exists. pls what do i do next  ? |

Abro atf in a Ford and you allowed him. Pls drain the oil and use mercon v transmission fluid. There's motocraft atf or you can use pureguard |

Hello Sooperrescue, My owner's manual recommends AFT M-V as replacement. I'm presently due for transmission oil change as the one in now has turned brown! It's a 2006 mazda. That specification is difficult to come by. Could you recommend an option I could use and won't end up with a burnt transmission. Thanks in adv. |
