This is the reason why. Stressed out woman... even confessing women forget to care of themselves! After marriage... and giving birth.. if the wife does not take care of herself.. the husband goes astray (not saying it is right... just reality)....pays less attention to her.... that brings on added stress on the wife and with that comes the old lady looks!

Naturally, women look more mature faster than men that's why it is advisable for men to marry a very much younger woman as wife. I know girls who I know am very much older than them but physically they look very much mature especially the chubby ones.

Secondly, It is child birth.. Many Nigerian women don't do exercise after child birth, they get fat and this make them look older than their husband.

Talking about house chores I don't think that's a reason for women looking older than their husband, some women have maids who work for them.

Men too go out to work some men even work at home and isn't working like the house chores another form of exercise?

The main reason is lack of exercise, obesity.

Statistically, men die, on average, 10 years before women.

I have been asking myself this question, whenever i see a marriage that lasted for more than 10 or 15 years, if you look at the husband and the wife you will se that the wife always looks older, do you have any ideas why?

In the advanced world it is not like that. Women still look good after marriage and child birth. In Nigeria however, the women age so fast after marriage because their husbands turn them into baby breeding machines, getting them pregnant over and over again before the previous child is even 2 years old. Then, one should take into account that many Nigerian married women are widows. They are having to carry the responsibility of taking care of their multitudes of children they bore all by themselves. Then we must consider that many Nigerian married women work outside the home and after they get home, their husbands often times don't assist them with any house chores. Then you have Nigerian married women who are the sole providers of their households even though they have husbands - who are either unemployed or underemployed - but they are told never to reveal that to anyone so that the man's ego does not get hurt.

Then consider the fact that in the West, women have vacuum cleaners to vacuum the floor, washing machine to wash the clothes and dryer to dry the clothes, dishwasher to wash the plates and pots, and so on and so forth. The Nigerian woman is stuck doing most house chores manually. Imagine most Nigerians still having to wash clothes with the hands due to lack of stable electricity and often times, lack of accessible water in the home. Why do you think 'mai ruwa' (people who sell water in big yellow jerricans) is still the only source of water for many Nigerians? Let us also not forget that many Nigerian married women are having to deal with infidelity and abuse in their marriages. That alone can leave a woman feeling depressed and gaining weight while she nurses any sexually transmitted disease she caught from her philandering husband. Abuse from in-laws is rampant as well.

Lastly, just living in Nigeria alone is extremely stressful with the lack of stable electricity, dust everywhere from red sand on the road or potor-potor (mud) all over the place during the raining season. Dirt scattered everywhere, environment looking filthy, lack of fuel, lack of good and affordable healthcare, lack of decent paying jobs, salary hardly paid on time, lack of affordable housing making many people raise a family of 6 or more in one room, spiritual attacks from enemies far and near. At the end of the day, why won't the woman begin to age so fast raising a family in such a difficult and disorganized country like Nigeria where she is hardly appreciated? Heck, even some Nigerian single women are aging fast as well as society makes life unbearable for them due to societal pressures to marry.

In fact, if you don't want to start looking older than your age or even die before your time, avoid living in Nigeria. Period!

My respect to all d women for what they pass through in d process of procreation. Besides this, ladies are funny in real sense. Majority of them are conscious of their health, hygiene, dieting etc, while single. Immediately they get married, they throw caution 2d wind, forgeting that females have easy fat/fatty creating tissues/hormones.
E.g I have this so close female friend of mine. She married at 25 n has a petite body to a guy of 33. After like 3yrs of marriage with a kid she's getting shapeless. I pointed out to her about her size, she replied that: She feels that she looks like a maid when she steps out with d hubby, so she intentionally did all she could to add up. I have lot of instances but I guess d little illustration can help u out. Look at omotola n hubby, joke n olu jacobs, lady b n charly boy etc.
Somebody said d celebrities do surgeries I know some ladies in my localities that look great after every every that donk know wot surgery is. Same bad habits goes to d men also but hope u remember what our topic of discuss is.
