Its you that lack open minded comprehension. Minority are all those few importers that dictate our means of existence to a certain extent in the country. Not political wise. 2sex: 1 Like |

There is so much ignorance out there! Subsidy hasn't been removed. Nigerians are now paying the Govt subsidy. Subsidy is now in negative. This is absurd! If subsidy is removed fully, the product would be selling around N90 per litre because the Govt would no longer determines the profit level of the marketers. That is deregulation. Buhari doesn't know what he is doing. 2 Likes |

This is a welcome development. It goes to show this government is for the masses. 'Government of the people, by the people and for the people. Price modulation is the answer now. And who said subsidy doesn't exist. It does. Except for the fact that it is on the negative. Now we can concentrate on other sectors and our developmental goals. No wonder, that budget. It is also important we get solutions to our refineries. That way, by the time oil price goes high, we can use it as a buffer to help. This will reduce the burden of importation. With Buhari at the helm of affairs(integrity-wise), and hiss support base, that is, his policy implementors, we are going far. Nigeria will rise again. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Blizzy9ja: That is part of the Tinubu/ACN/APC propaganda. Jonathan's federal government did not try to remove the subsidies. The 36 governors whose share of Federation account was dwindling due to subsidy payment also wanted it removed as per the headlines below: www.nairaland.com/attachments/2606941_fuelsubsidygovernorssupport2011d_jpegc347aadcc28645a881c11e877b19ae27 |

Femmyfamous4u: Jonathan and the 36 governors agreed to remove subsidy to DEREGULATE the sector just like mobile phone that was expensive initially until Glo showed up with per-second billing etc. The same way fuel could have been WIDELY available at N50 by now with so much EMPLOYMENT in the private refineries, if we had allowed the INITIAL sacrifice. www.nairaland.com/attachments/2606895_fuelsubsidygovernorssupport2011b_jpeg5c37e0f0eb35bb083e30b935969cd3c6 1 Like 2 Shares |

although it is possible to sell PMS at a “reduced price”, Nigerians might not be ready to absorb future fluctuations or modulations in the pump price of petrol. May God help us. |

Secondly, abeg how much was crude oil in January 2012? How much is it now Thanks. www.nairaland.com/attachments/2855404_fbimg1442168436118_jpeg3abf4555427b1803302e6b4f3ffbbb15 |
