Good evening house, am a new bie to bulksms. Which is better? Allowing the site you want to buy SMS from to build your website or building it yourself ? Which is cost effective? And pays a lot at the long run?
I also hear about API changing. If the site I want to be buying SMS from creates the website for me can I change the API later in future? I really need your kind and prompt response.
Regards.
it all depends on the bulksms site ..designing for you ...if its a honest one ..then you are good to go ...and you should be able to change your api once its a honest person ...if you don't have a good idea on how to do it don't do it yourself ..to avoid errors ... cheers

What exactly is your point? If you see a future with little sms, why are you dropping your website url?

rolexsms:

i dont understand you ...why dropping your url then ?

SMS has a place in our world today. The question is how can it continually remain useful tomorrow.

it all depends on how the future runs ...their may be more reliable means in the future but i think bulksms has come to stay.

@ ev4real

Here's my take and opinion.

smslive247.com is not advisable. I don't know of Sollysms.com. I'm not trying to down talk any business here. The reseller system of smslive247 is nothing to write home about as you do not have control over your clients and sometimes your domain/hosting. I mean once you want to move, your clients becomes theirs. I assume this happened to Jide when he moved to his new site. If you go to his former website, you will see that there's an image there stating that he has moved. The former clients may have to register again or something.

My Advice
Any joomla website can be a bulk sms website. What powers a bulk sms website and makes it send SMS is a software component sold for 15k. Then it is simple: get the component (called spc4) and get/buy a professional template and wallah!!! You're good to go (not forgetting a reliable bulksms provider too)

You need to know everything about your spc software when installed since you'll be the one to manage it. Someone can help you design the website and setup your spc but you must know how to manage it efficiently by yourself. Don't worry, the spc comes with a manual so it will be easy. But you may still need guidance. Very important.

very true.
if possible , it is best to do the design yourself, it will save you a lost cost and stress in the future. joomla is easy to comprehend and use. installing spc or jeema(which ever you choose) is like installing any other joomla extension. doing it yourself will save you all the stress of calling the designer at every slight change you need to make.

@orfilla4 it is really not a question of how much one makes money here. Making money in this business basically depends on how nifty your marketing skills is. In other terms, your input determines your output in a layman's term.
This business makes you financially independent, making you your own boss

I'm an amateur in this business but i would like to confirm somethings

1. If my site is fully developed and i've interfaced it with the component, and i want to resell for a company do i need to sign up on their site and fund my account then use my login details to build my API then put in the API section in my component?

2. Which company can assure me 100% delivery and can sell to me at 0.75K at least.

3. How to allign every network to a specific API also implies to international networks

Kindly assist me

1.Yes. You will include the username and password of your provider's website in your API. Providers have API documentation. Ask them for it.

2. From experience, the rate you posted cannot guarantee the desired delivery. Cheaper routes are often not reliable, run away from Indian routes.

3. Routing is a function of your Bulk SMS component or Bulk SMS website script.
