good afternoon people! my visa just got granted this afternoon 9th of febuary. i applied on the 11th december it got to pretoria 15th december and granted today.

i studied a course entirely different from my work experience and entirely different from my intended course of study.. i told God i will testify on this thread.

2posh thank You soooo much for those tips in writing my sop cos of not for that i would have jumbled up some rubbish or got stuck i calld my sister nd we were on the fone for almost 2hrs taking each point 2posh wrote down for me some examples i lied about *lol* God forgive me bt others were actually true. This is for those that think they cannot change their line of study becos of denial, I thank God all the same!!!

Wow....Pls GodsClan, mine's bn under assessment since 7th of December and no mail till now. I'm due to resume next week. Do u think I should mail them? Although i mailed them early January and they said it was still under assessment. Pls what was d summary of ur mail? Thanks a lot.

I was told my visa will be extended for a month after have finished my studies. The oshc I did was not up to the date my visa will expire, so I will told to extend it to d date my visa will expire

Congratulations, please I will like you to share with me how you applied for your family. I have P.M u.

I got an enrollment letter from my school ,extended my single oshc to family oshc and made copies of their oshc cards, all sighted by justice of peace in Sydney and dispatched these documents with nomination form 919 to my family in Nigeria. I will advise you to use DHL cos I used standard postage and it took roughly a month to arrive in Nigeria.
My family submitted birth and marriage certificates,my sop (not sure if it is needed) just to avoid issues, wedding/family pictures, copies of yellow card. That is all

Seriously I need to ask, has anyone ever received notification for request of more documents like myself, 2 weeks has gone after receiving this notification and subsequently sending the documents still no reply from DIBP, will I wait till the 28 days elapse before having any hope?

By Wollongong trip, do you mean you are about entering Australia (specifically Wollongong) or you are on the cusp of getting an admission? I have just moved to Wollongong from Sydney so maybe i can be of little help. What head start do you need?

I am about to arrive at sydney, I will be needing help to get settled into UOW and the community, and also all those initial challenges an international student may have, Chief of them accommodation, then fitting into the job market, and also the limited opportunities issue in wollongong.

I don't want to speculate but it looks like processing time for applications from Ghana appear faster than applications from Nigeria.

I've been in Ghana for 17yrs now. Working here. When I saw some people saying they applied as early as November, I just say a little prayer to God. In fact, the wait no be joke. I didn't add SOA. Just my 6months pay slips, employment letter, recommendation letter from my boss. That's all. When the wind is blowing in your favor, it's God that will talk for you not any document. After rejections from Canada thrice, USA also thrice and once from Norway, you can tell how joyful I am right now. All in the space of 2yrs.

I have just one week to do accelerated preparations. God is good. To those still waiting, I have just one this for you. Just be patient. God has answered. God bless everyone.
