Please don't pay attention to the posters. Mobil1 USA is not the same as the excuse of the Mobil1 in Nigeria and will never be. The USA brand is ilsac gf 5. Dexos certified, while the local is not certified at least not displayed on the gallon. I remember that the USA brand was sold in the country for 4400 naira a litre. They are the ones that can withstand the high temperatures we daily face in our various choices of cars. There are many substandard 5w30 in the country right now so beware how you choose.

Thanks for the clarification though. Most people tend to believe that the Nigeria Mobil 1 is the same as the USA Mobil 1 and they want to price it at same level. I believe the difference in quality / performance accounts for the premium pricing of the USA Mobil 1. Besides, i think the USA Mobil 1 comes in 5 Quart container which is significantly higher in volume than the 4L Nigeria Mobil 1

So its no longer available on jumia too? I guess the retail price would be really up there by now post dollar crisis, if and when you can find it.

Someone also mentioned it been on the import prohibition list. Any truth to that?

What about the Toyota oil? Does it perform on the same level?

This is not Mobil-1 oil. This is the conventional mobil super oil you are putting up here. We are talking about the Advanced full synthetic Mobil-1.

They are not at par on price, performance and longevity

Now you can see the many 5w 30 in the market. I pity our engines especially Range Rover Engines that sells for N1m used.

Hmmmm. Actually, the USA Mobil Super in the pic above is a very good oil, just not on the same level as the USA Mobil-1 Advanced Full Synthetic

Unless the vehicle specifically calls for a fully synthetic oil then conventional oil will work when religiously changed with filter.

I only use Mobil1 full synthetic oils in my vehicles and go the extended milage.

I use 0W40 on my 09 Jetta and 15W50 on my 07 BMW Bike.

Not sure that a Camry requires a full synthetic oil but I've never owned one. I know that my old MR2 doesn't.

A very good Analysis. Ilsac 5 is the current certification for quality oil since 2005 and if after ten years, we are still using sm,cf oils, we should be waryo f such oils

Whenever you use Extended Performance oils, also use a premium oil filter. Otherwise, change the regular oil filters every 5,000 miles.

I have contributed extensively to threads on oils here, I don't want to repeat myself. You can check them out.

I use the Mobil 1 Extended Performance Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5w30 that can do 15,000 miles, I think that it is in a class of its own.

But I personally import it, cause I have never found it on the shelves anywhere in this country.

If anyone know where to find it here, it would be nice to compare the cost of importing it myself versus buying locally because of the volatility of the dollar.

I haven't done an oil analysis but in the years since I switched to this oil, and reverted my car to factory settings from its state of abuse by local mechanics, I have not had engine trouble, just ordinary wear and tear issues. YMMV

My Brother, its the current retail price of the USA Mobil-1 and Toyota Oil 5w30/20 we are looking for. Anyone that has it should post it here.

Seems with the current dollar crisis, the oils have disappeared from the market.

It it compulsory it must be always be Mobil 1 ,if Mobil should stop producing then no good 5w30 in the market be that o shocked

there is alot of other good premium fully synthetic 5w30 brands out there with excellent track record with good customer feedback.

Yeah but Mobil is still producing. We know you have Lubex. However, we are just interested in Mobil-1/ Toyota motor oil and the current retail prices. Please let us know if you have the current prices for the Mobil-1 / Toyota oil

Lubex. Hmmm. I can't talk. These are the many substandards we are talking about. Lubex is out of it. It is a Turkish brand and it is not even SN. It is sold in the region of 4k. No certification, the brother to seahorse. All Turkish brands are sm,cf, the same with Total q 9000. Out dated

Time to order your whatever from the U.S., the dollar is down, and the Naira is up!

For me the choice is really between Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Full Synthetic and Mobil 1 Extended Performance Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5w30.

These two have satisfied the high standards I have set for oils I use/plan to use.

We have toyota motor oil 5w30 in stock 4 litres is 9k. You can as well use it with " Bosch" oil filter

With all due respects, the oil you displayed is the dubai oil. We want the USA Toyota Motor oil that comes in 1 quart packs and the mobil-1 5 quarts.

If you need the USA 1 litre toyota oil its available @ 3k5. Mobil 1 5litres is 17k

This oil currently sells for 9,500 naira at Mobil filling station at Garrison, Port-Harcourt. I bought two 4L gallons 2nd week of February.
