Thank u very much Sir. He gave me d first shot on monday. I felt very okay but by tuesday night, those feelings returned to my left leg and very serious. I was forced to purchase ampiclox and I used it. By wednesday morning, d feeling was intensed on d left side of my head but greatly reduced on my leg. I went back to d hospital hoping dat d doctor will give me d second shot. He said he can do nothing until thursday morning (this morning). I took another capsule of ampiclox dat same morning, d painful headache relieved me but I was very weak. I just hope it has not gotten to my CNS by this morning. The same dog that bite me is still alive but was vaccinated d 3rd day after it bite me. I will tel the doc what u told me Sir, thanks a lot.

First : I think you should cool down small, it is your anxiety that is giving you headache not rabies and also taking ampliclox has no effect on rabies or your headache for that matter!
Secondly: It is highly unlikely that that dog has rabies if alive and well 18days after your encounter. The dog owner should have a vaccination card for the dog and the vaccination status can be confirmed from it.
Thirdly: The vaccines helps you to form immunity against rabies and need to be given at a RECOMMENDED interval. You cannot just take it anyhow so that it can work faster!! The immunoglobulin is already made immunity that will help clear the virus fast if present.
Finally: If the rabies is the cause of what you are feeling now, you will not be the one posting on Nairaland! !!!

olami099: your mother needs to visit a doctor for check up. It could be her chest muscles or worse yet, her heart.

rozeeb: you may have ruptured cystic ovaries. See a gynecologist. You may require more intervention

scheat39: what medications did they give ya? it could be medication reaction. Or simply malaria/typhoid are causing it. See an eye doctor pronto

dazzle86: try to relax and calm down, stress and apprehension will definitely not help you. I think you should just enjoy sex with your partner and get pressure to conceive out of your mind. Let it happen naturally. Body's stress hormones are anti-conception. You need to relax and de-stress. If you and your partners' fertile physiology is good, then no worries. Have they scanned your fallopian tubes and uterus? Mycomectomy can cause scaring which may impede fertility.

babydeedee: do you have diabetes, on medications such as steriod or have any medical condition you know off? Do you apply anything to your vaginal area? Itching can be due to non-infectious irritants. It may not be candida. Do investigate what chemical irritant may be itching and stop it.

Take care.

Im not diabetic, im.not on any medication. The itching has stopped now.

More than 90% of male infertility cases are due to low sperm counts, poor sperm quality, or both. The remaining cases of male infertility can be caused by a range of conditions including anatomical problems, hormonal imbalances, and genetic defects. Sperm abnormalities are a critical factor in male infertility.

These are strong signs of bacteria infection commonly known as staphylococcus. you need immediate treatment so it won't go beyond itching. Get some Antibiotics prescriptions asap or go herbal

Your sexual partner needs to be treated. And, if the medicines are effective and you have finished course, and still not improving, then, time to look for a another diagnosis or another STD.

I will advise you try herbal

6 months of itching hmm. any discharge? Get tested for STD first. Then, I will investigate what you are putting on yourself that maybe causing it and eliminate it. also, consider seeing a dermatologist-skin doctor for quick exam.

geraldyne: Did you have period on january? if your period is usually on 31st, then why not wait until 31st of this month before panicking. Please, next time, use condom or get on contraception; if you are going to engage in the act.

brytandre: you have abscess that will not heal. first, make sure you do not have suppressed immunity state like diabetes or on steroid drugs. you need to incise and drain the abscess/pus. it will not heal until the base has been really cleaned out. visit your local doctor who is skilled in incision and drainage. Or a surgeon will do. keep the area clean and hygienic and apply topical antistaph. if fever, you may require oral antibiotics.

afolayan22: eat well balanced diet. eat more than you expend. visit a doctor for a physical exam.

ibari: what kind of tests have they done? What were results?

muslee4luv: get tested for STD if you are active sexually. if not active, treat as acne with acne medications/wash etc. visit a doctor for exam.

Hello Doc,

What are the likely negative health implications one who sweat often on the foot and hand can face and what are your recommendations on reducing it if it can't be stopped?

Regards.
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Nobody: 7:40pm On Feb 22, 2016
geraldyne: hopefully you have gotten pregnancy test by now if you are sexually active

yemi2plus: so, you sweat excessively only in two regions? Health implication depends on what's wrong. Typically, it is overactive sweat glands/neurons. There are ways to manage them.

Hello Doc,

The sweating is not restricted to my foot and palm only, I sweat also on my nose and face too.

What do you think might be the cause and how can I manage the situation? I have had the problem as long as I can remember.

Regards.

diabetes, overactive thyroid among others can cause it. Are you on any medications/supplements/herbs?

Likely due to overactive sweat glands/nerves. You can try prescription medicine, there is topicals like prescriptions strength antiperspirants, procedures/surgery that can temporary or permanently stop your sweat glands respectively. See a dermatologists

Thanks for your input Doc.

I'm not suffering from diabetes and neither am I on medications/supplements or herbs. I have always suspected my sweat glands, I'll visit a dermatologist as advised. However, will I not suffer any health challenge if my sweat glands are temporary or permanent stopped since sweating is one of the ways the body system dispose waste product?

obioraval: go get checked for STD and /or then get treatment

intrepid01: no idea, post this on the forum as separate topic and see who knows.
