Typical.

I have not said anything negative about adopting foreign designs neither have I suggested such, I was merely pointing out to easily gullible users ready to adopt a foreign design based on esthetics alone without considering functionality and I had a specific maybe not apparent example in mind when I made reference to the garage scenario but it obviously does not fit every case.

Constructive criticism has its merit rather than personal attacks.

And I practise in the UK by the way.

I don't care where you practice and I still stand by my statement.

You are a sham architect based strictly on the nonsense that you wrote.

You are right, but should always make provisions for diverse tastes in ur comments. Nigeria has a building culture code that is gradually being lost to those in diaspora. Example, the man has no business in the kitchen whether as a passage from his garage or as a dinning place just as he has minimal input in choice of kitchen furniture/equipment. The kitchen is usually bounded on either side by the store and the dinning. Overtime the garage develops a smell which u don't want in the kitchen, particularly the garage with old cars.

The more you try to pass yourself off as enlightened the more you convince me that you're a cabbie in Brixton.

My older brother owns an award winning architect firm here in Califirnia. He builds schools, prisons, government installations. I grew up exposed to architecture under him and have ideas about Nigeria and USA architecture.

My issue with the alleged Limey architect is the pompous architect knows best angle of his.

Some of us non architects that hires architects do have a brain and we know what we want as consumers.

I have direct access from garage into my house and next to my kitchen because that's what I want and what I'm exposed to for the past 30 years.

Any reasonable architect will listen to the client and work with the client and not become an overlord on the project.

I still wonder why you pick on every one especially ones who do not buy into your foreign ideas.

You insult people you actually have no idea who they are. You need to step back and have a look at yourself cause maybe you have a problem since its just becoming a daily affair with you insulting strangers. If you dont like his opinion, use simple non insultive words to say so. He doesnt need you approval before others find him a successful and a good architect. Why call him a sham when yourself is not a successful architect to criticize professionally? Is there no other way to make a point other than insults?

Last time you said to me you were always going to be above me. After seeing you engage several faceless people on NL, i am beginning to think you are mentally above everyone. That means one thing, that being above everyone is abnormal and may require a psychiatrist. I see you as someone who has no control over himself, that calls for help. I wish i knew someone in you family so i can advice them to stage an intervention on your behalf.
