Please what's the name of the General?
How much was traced to his account?
What position is he holding in terms of military appointment?

I hate vague reports just to stir up distraction!

Enough of the media trials and persecution!tongue

if buratai is not indicted then it means he was a soldier in the congo or india n baba deported him to come n restructure the system.
the report said it all, all millitary men r corrupt.
these people r angry cos they r no more in power n relegated to the barracks, they envy the politicians thinking they r the ones killing the countey not knowing the yrs of millitary rule took us 300yrs back from civilization.
monies wqs released for procurement of arms, these thieves embezzled d monies n still went ahead n cry foul, heaping blames on gej. will gej go n buy arms? does gej know good or substandard ammunitions?

And you people will tell us

Buhari is responsible....when things go wrong nowadays.

Well....GEJ was responsible for this mess too. He was in charge...the buck stops at his table.

You are asking the wrong question.

And no...I am not excusing anyone. Least of all Atiku or Amaechi.

Trouble is....you Nigerians think that corruption must be fought when it favors your party/leader/region.

If a General could betray the trust of his men in the battle front by supplying them fake military hardwares I think think the best thing is to dismiss the officer since he has enriched himself already.. Thank God for a change of guards ,it will be clear to those who are ready to learn that God is in charge of the affairs of this nation..Jonathan reign was never a mistake,God used him to teach us a lesson, even Abacha and the rest of them came for a purpose.. The Fulani man that is reigning now I believe God put him there for a purpose let him continue to rule under the fear of the Lord if not,Nigeria history will never be kind unto him.

Mr Man, step by step, this is military probe, if Atiku or Amaechi name comes up. No wahala.

Remember thousands that lost their live to Boko Haram both civilian and military personnel.

n they cant summon him to appear before the senate to explain why nigerians cant see fuel?
the only thing I blame gej was for conceding defeat n playing cool.
they r probing from 2007, wait for them to finish their probe n lets see whether gej made those transfers direct into their account.
gej approved monies for arms, gej wont go n buy arms cos he didnt study ammunition in school, na still d army that will do the purchase. they went buy substandard products, rebrand them n come n u want gej to detect it? d he study ammunition technology?
the 200billion fed govt released to universities, they squandered d monies n tmrw u will still say gej was clueless, dat he didnt check corruption forgetting that the r boards n institutions that suppose to check these people but the issue is they r all not patriotic.
if gej didnt approve monies they would hv still said he is heartless n clueless, he released he is corrupt. will a president do the job of procurement officers, chief of army, navy, airforce staffs?

i challenge the dullard in chief of the fed republic to probe the obasansanjo admin especially on power. billions of dollars was sunk yet nothing happened. jonathan is not a saint though, but i feel buhari should balance the probe equations by probing all past admins even babangida's gulf oil money should not be spared.
Re: Arms Scandal: Army General Weeps by yaki84: 12:05pm On Mar 29, 2016
if he dies trying to do the work, u people will still say let him die shebbi him wan carry every work do.
lets tell ourselves d truth for once.
the president wont go n supervise the ministry of defense, he wont go n procure arms, there r people commissioned to do these jobs n they swore to do their jobs diligently without fear nor favour.
if someone or some people collaborate to swindle the state or nation during their course of duties, n they r caught they shud be prosecuted. n during prosecution every body caught shud be treated like common criminals not exempting some n prosecuting some because of their political affiliation.
once again I reiterate my earlier statement if buratai is exempted from this probe then it is not probe but sectional probe.
buratai was the procurement officer between 2013 and 2015. during his tenure much monies was pumped into that ministry for arms procurement.

As corruption now stop. No. Corruption is still worst as it is years back. Take WRPC a subsidiary of NNPC for an example ,the massive corruption going over here is alarming. From bogus inflation of contract to not even paying salaries to the support staffs for close to one year. One example, A block of cubicle was constructed for 40 million naira, ordinary the constructed cubicle will not even take up to 1 million naira to finish, and this 40 million freud was replicated in ten different sites.
The President might be trying to ride out corruption, but the head of different government establishment , meant to head government interest are thieves.
