You are also forgetting that Nigeria has never and will never be hyped as England is, yet England is no better than Nigeria in recent years. Heck, Nigeria is even better if we are to look at the totality of things for the past 30 or more years. Nigeria won the Olympic (football) in 1996. Tell me when England won theirs. Nigeria are the defending champions in Nations Cup just as they play their Euros Cup. Now tell me, when was the last time they won the Euros? Never! So I can say authoritatively and affirmatively that Nigeria is a better footballing nation than England, at least in the past 40 or 50 years.

English football is shiit. Their problem is hype and it until they realise that and turn-coat, then they will continue to live their footballing lives (as a nation) in misery.

If you're English and reading this, I have awful news for you: the Germans don't hate you. They don't even dislike you. They don't even think it's unusually important to beat your teams at football.

Most of the English fans I spoke to admitted that playing Germany was indeed something special because of the war and a couple of other things, such as... well, the war.
