They have already started to blame PDP senators from the SS/SE even when the same rail lines passed through the SW and both Goje and Jibrin are APC members
This is not a party thing. Everybody that finds himself in the NASS should strive to help his people. If the northerners could drop their party differences to ensure that the Lagos-Kano route is in the budget, why should their southern counterparts allow party difference split them?

So no provision for the Lagos to calabar rail in the budget abi, but they want to waste billions to find oil in the north right? SS, SE, & SW open your eyes, this change scam is real

Am happy that majority of well meaning reasonable Nigerians know the truth that 98% of these senators are there for reasons of personal greed and selfish interests only.
Those of you who pretend to be unaware of this fact are only deceiving yourselves. Unfortunately for you, you are a very paltry minority. PMB is not contesting for any post until 2019. All he wants is to deliver on his promises. You guys are the ones struggling for relevance.
And I will advice you to go and look for a better job to do because elections are over and the services of political thugs are not required for now.

North East: Senate Turns Down Budget Proposal For Information Ministry..

ABUJA—THE Senate,  yesterday,  refused to treat the budget proposal for the Federal Ministry of Information due to lack of provision for media propaganda in the North East.

The Senate Committee on Information, which took the decision during the ministry’s budget defence, insisted that the ministry must not only rework but also re-present its budget with provisions for effective media propaganda in the North East.

The committee on information, headed by Senator Enyinaya Abaribe, PDP, Abia South, directed that the ministry should bring a budget that will cater for the needs of its media agencies. Abaribe’s directive was sequel to the observation raised by a member of the committee and senator representing Bayelsa  North, Ben Bruce, who had decried the non inclusion of budget for media operations in the North East, in the wake of the Boko Haram insurgency. Bruce, in his remark, had pointed out that during the Nigerian Civil War, the media was effectively used to propagate relevant information. He therefore appealed that the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, and Voice of Nigeria, VON, should go and add the required component.

He said: “It would have made more sense for the information budget of the Army to be given to the Ministry of Information to equip these stations to be used by the military as a source of communication.

“For instance, if there is going to be an air raid in a particular area, we can warn the citizens to stay off that particular area".

The Nigerdelta area is supposed to be competing with Dubai development level today if some set of Nigerians outside the Nigerdelta areas take Nigeria as one country.

Exploitation of the Nigerdelta areas to death is the creed in Nigeria by some sections of Nigeria.

Calabar-Lagos standard gauge train line is a proposal conceived with bile.

It was conceived like the EAST-WEST road to connect oil producing Nigerdelta states to Lagos and onward to the north.

Today, after many decades and billions of Naira gulped, the EAST-WEST Road is not realized. The unforgiving coastal terrain from Calabar to Lagos: even Oyibo may find it difficult to build and maintain such road and rail line.

They were both exploitation routes; routes meant to exploit and transport oil wealth from the Nigerdelta to the SW and northern areas where the oil wealth has been used for development for decades at the expense of development in the Nigerdelta areas.

The rail project was not inthe original budget. But it was included in the amended version sent to NASS (after it had been sucessfully defended by Udoma Udo Udoma when the Executive were doing amendment to the first padded budget). Senator common sense should also have told us why the money meant for electricity transmission was diverted to buying tricycle, digging boreholes and building townhalls in constituencies. COMMON SENSE IS NO LONGER COMMON.

This is why it is wrong to jump into conclusion were properly crosschecking the facts. APC should realise that campaigns are over. Enough of the media deception and propaganda. There was never Lagos-Calabar Railway in the budget, APC Goebels or Okoko Ndem department manufactured this lie.

Bad liar

Then what calabar rail was amaechi defending at the national assembly?

Even if it wasnt there, why not add it? Bruise indeed.

Are you minding Sen. Ben Bruce? How can he release such myopic and ignorant Tweet.

Let us take it that it was not in the budget. There was a leftover of N54 billion. The Southern Senators could not request (I did not say it must be granted by their colleagues) request for it because Amaechi asked for N60 billion. Why not remind their colleagues of the project?

It was not in the budget and they kept mute.

Let Sen. Ben Bruce keep Tweeting while his colleagues pack everything for their constituents.

If they forgot or did not budget his housing allowance, he will remember.

President Buhari refused to sign the Budget because of the lack of the Lagos-Calabar Railway project.

Is that not a project he wants to do for we Southerners?

President Buhari is not like GEJ that will abandon his people to please others. He is for everybody.
