I just called an uncle who works with peace air, he told me the process has been on for over 2 year now and was approved just last week. the approval took buhari unaware because he would have cancelled it. it was the government of enugu state and some stake holders and investors that fought for the approval and with the help of DSP ekweremmadu, peace mass transit, etc. the people of enugu should be thanking Jonathan and his aviation minister for making enugu airport an international one in the first place. Buhari and his cohort has noting to do with this. the next is to give us all the embassies of the approved route most especially US embassy.

Good news, I am sure some peeps in NL will start having stimach ache. Make in pain them wella. But I am worried about d security of such flight. Using a 737 for such distance in this time and age. Its not a matter of if it could do it but if its feasible. Then again am reliably informed that Enugu may have been upgraded to international standard it does not have the infrastructure to compete with Lagos and Abuja. Am told its runway is meant for local and not international. Pls anyone care to clarify me?

Bro, they will Def acquire new Long Haul aircrafts like the '330,'340 and maybe Boeing 767 or triple 7. Their classic 737 they have can't do the trip.

You are not making sense pls, is it ekweremadu or the enugu governor that approved it, what if it was not approved, pls let's leave all this talk and focus more on how to bring more development.

There is a bad trend we are gradually developing, where the present FG is moving things, we keep saying its the handiwork of the previous govt, we are creating a needless battle that will boomerang if care is not taken, for e.g. the mambilla power plant was renegotiated late last year for a project that was already cancelled and folks came up to say it was the work of the previous govt.

Let's stop all this and be more Nationalistic, once again its great seeing international flights from Enugu, this will reduce the needles vehicular traffic around the Lagos airports, now that's progress and am happy
