Is the wife in question a small child that can be taken advantage of by anybody? Was she raped? The fault rests squarely on her shoulders because in matters of seduction, the onus always lies on women to say yes or no. Any normal wife would have immediately reported the so-called friend to her husband at the first sign of trying to woo her. That's what loyalty means. It's annoying when I see people try to absolve women of any responsibility or agency in matters like this.

Besides, whose loyalty should be more important and sacrosanct, a friend's loyalty or the loyalty of one's own spouse and life partner?
