What do you have in common with Anioma? NOTHING!!!

you're from Enugu- did your people chase you from there and you're afraid to go home?

If you want to migrate to Anioma do so but enough with the fake solidarity!!!!!!!!

Anioma is an acronym, dumbo!

Where are you on Enugu threads? Are there even any Enugu threads here? Na Anioma matter concern una pass!!

parasite!

Enugu is another igbo city like Asaba!! we have Igbo kwenu thread and why should i have Enugu thread ?
Ewuuuuuuuuuuuu!! Anioma in my language Igbo means Good land. You can't even comprehend a simple language.

Aniocha, Ndokwa, Ika and Oshimili makes up Anioma. Check out and tell me if without the last 2 letters (ma) the acronym will not be ANIO.
Re: The Official Ukwuani Thread: Ukwuani Bu Ani Eze by Abagworo(m): 10:31am On May 24, 2009
i've asked all igbos to ignore comments by non-igbos like tpiah in igbo affairs.it is only an anioma(igbo) man that has right to engage in this discussiom.anioma-anaoma-alaoma-alioma-elioma-enioma all have meanings in different igbo dialects.

anu mpam

The acronym will be ANIO, nah, since you didnt know the acronym itself prior to being educated on this board.

Now, since you're so well versed in Anioma affairs which means something in your language, kindly tell us the meaning of Enugu.

We're waiting.

Why are you so dumb? Anioma is an igbo word meaning BEAUTIFUL LAND

Enugu= Enu-ugwu meaning Hill Top was derived from a village in Enugu North Local government called Enugu-Ngwo. Infact the former name of Enugu was Enugu-Ngwo.

I know my brief history lesson will not penetrate your useless skull tongue tongue

I was actually very excited when I came across this thread this morning, but on surfing through the thread I became unhappy.

Why all the insults? We're supposed to get to know each other here, and not to fight. And if you're simply not Ukwani, don't post and don't cost confusions here please.

Well, I'm Dave, partly Ukwani and partly Agbor. I lived in Ndemili most of my life. Stayed a little in Agbor, and finally moved down to Lagos.

I'm a software/web developer and an internet marketer.

Nice to meet you all.

Nde obodo um. Ajay ni o/ Otofe ni o! (OMG - hope i wrote all that right)

Anyways - I am excited about this thread. I hope to meet some nice youthful ukwani people who are interested in the development, progress, and prosperity of our land, people and culture.

I read through the thread and unfortunately discovered that some detractors have made their way into this thread. Fortunately, I think it would be easy to kick them out of this forum by reporting their abuses to the moderator.

Now, I believe we can start meaningful discussions on some of the issues that affect our people and come up with plausible, pragmatic solutions to these issues. Then hopefully, we can somehow take our ideas to the powers that be and see these ideas implemented.

So wetin una think?

Thank you all Ukwuani brothers and sister (Aje, Otufe and Owesu to you all). I am very glad to be part of this experience of unity through this thread. As I am far away, being so very disconnected from you, my people, and from my country of birth make such discussion group as this an invaluable one. Again, I thank and greet you all.

However, please some of us should not continue with insults traded between themselves. We should focus on trying to achieve positive results for our people and selves.

best wishes to you all.

Ukwuani is not a language please. It is a dialect.
The language of Ukwuani people is Igbo.

In all fairness Andre Uweh, virtually each Igbo dialect can, in the practical sense, basically classify as its own language.
Re: The Official Ukwuani Thread: Ukwuani Bu Ani Eze by AndreUweh(m): 2:03pm On Sep 16, 2009
ChinenyeN
Is it just Igbo, how about Hausa and Yoruba?.
Re: The Official Ukwuani Thread: Ukwuani Bu Ani Eze by ChinenyeN(m): 3:48pm On Sep 16, 2009
I never said it wasn't Igbo. All I said is that, practically speaking, virtually each dialect could basically classify as its own language.
The same applies for Yoruba as well. I'm no sure about Hausa, though.
Re: The Official Ukwuani Thread: Ukwuani Bu Ani Eze by AndreUweh(m): 3:54pm On Sep 16, 2009
Does that mean that there is no difference between a language and a dialect?.
Re: The Official Ukwuani Thread: Ukwuani Bu Ani Eze by ChinenyeN(m): 4:17pm On Sep 16, 2009
There is no universal way of differentiating between language and dialect. The distinction between the two is subjective, and it depends on how you look at it. If someone were to ask me though, the difference between the two, I would say that there's really only one difference between a language and a dialect, and that is that the language has more social and political distinction/power/recognition/influence than the dialect, but I'm no linguist. So, you can't take my word for it.

Hello BLACK REVO,

Waoh thats nice i have heard about the place, sorry i don't know much since i last went there when i was a kid. So do you speak ukwuani very well? i can't speak and i really wish to learn someday. Are you still in kano or moved to somewhere else? i was born and bred in lagos and never really mixed up with my folks. I have so many things to discuss here and about the development of anioma but lets first get to know each other here.

Hope everyone is going to come back to this tread or is there a way to bring it to their attention?

I have just perused this thread and going by the first two people that responded to this thread, i must say that some of our Igbo people are simply ignorant. You guys should know that the opener of this thread was writing in his Ukwuani Igbo dialect and so, not all Igbos will understand the dialect. If a person from Wawa Igbo, Mbaise Igbo, Bende Igbo, Awka Igbo, Ezza Igbo, Arochukwu Igbo, Nnewi Igbo and others come in here and write with their own differente Igbo dialects, i wonder if any Igbo from outside those areas will not find it difficult to read meanings into those dialects.

Fact is that most Igbo people in this NL and other nigerian forums prefer to write to their Igbo language with general Igbo dialect which is spoken within ABA  for southern Igbos and ONITSHA for northern Igbos. Most of you Igbos should be honest with yourselves and answer this question. (Especially, Nwando and Ikomi) If you come out here and write with your own Igbo village dialect, do you think that most Igbo members of this forum will understand much of what you write? Your guess is as good as mine, so compare yourself to this Ukwuani Igbo guy that opened this thread with his Ukwuani Igbo dialect and stop abusing him because of his writing with his Igbo village dialect. Igbo bu otu, no matter the dialect. IGBO KWEZUONU.
