Whenever he sees a strange number on his whatsapp he blocks it immediately! !I am telling the truth! I got scammed right at the mall! !I tried 5 ATM's before I later allowed mobile transfer! They were all saying out of service!! I need your ideas and advice Pls. .

Chances of getting him through phone is very slim, all info used are fake including the whatsapp number. The only thing you can do now is try and give him 2(two) weeks or a month, change your identity then use a friend to front as seller in the same mall in attempt to sell another phone again which he won't sell cos you know your target is to grab him, best day for your trap is Friday and Saturday repeatedly for 2weeks. I'm definitely confident he will be caught. This might look stupid but petty criminals always use same method and location after few weeks thinking they wont be caught.

I received d alert thinking the money was in and we parted ways. Little did I know that I have just been scammed and it was a fake credit alert.
That was avoidable only if you had been a little more informed. One can confirm any suspicious alerts by checking email, using banking apps, or USSD provided by some banks to check account balance.

How can some people be so insensitive? Someone is in dare need of ur help/advice n all u can do is mock n laugh at him? Who knows it all? If u don't have any helpful info or advice, why don't u move on to another post? All these people acting "Mr Know it all" can be so dumb outside Nairaland. Because he has no idea about this, now he's stupid huh? Smh! Pls receive sense before it's too late. Op I guess u should report to d Police let them help u track d guy through telecommunication! It might cost u a little but at least, get that Bastard behind bars before another person falls victim.

God bless you with this post. Some pple here are truly stupid. They castigate people easily nt knowin nobody is above mistakes and things happens in life for us to gain more experience an learn our lessons. I've also gone thru some things things the past and i really learnt lessons from them and I'm a beta person now. I pray God comforts the OP.

Sorry about your misfortune.
Recovering your money is gonna be a herculean task. You need to involve police and going by the amount they may not deploy all they have to fish out the perp, but it's worth a try report the material to the nearest police station.
Since it is an iPhone I believe you can lock it remotely if it's your original account used to purchase the phone when it's brand new.

Exactly...

The only problem is that the process might take too long. The op must also be willing to drop some "Roger" for the police - the amount he might be asked to pay might be discouraging TBH.

Op, i'd suggest you search that number on the "true-caller" App - you might be lucky to get his real name in the process. Subsequent searches on Facebook and other Social media platforms could also yeild positive results.
nice

It's a pity bro. just go to any telecom service provider wit a police or sss officer and relate to them what u've just told us.they'll track and give the security officer (not you) feedback and you get the info.from there.

Spend less time replying posts here and go to the nearest police Area command and report the crime, that number alone is enough to pull some strings. But be ready to fund the investigation.
