Urbhobos was till they migrated. Dude they didnt fall from mars before they migrated they were under the Benin kingdom. Esan is not under anyone they migrated just like other Edoid group.

Urhobos left Igodomigodo during the time of the Ogisos, the sky rulers, before Ekalederhan exiled himself and Oranmiyan came and named Igodomigodo Ubinu which later became Benin. This preceded the reign of Oba Ewuare the Great who formed the Benin empire and conquered surrounding towns and cities going as far west as Lagos!

Urhobos were primarily in Udo before they migrated due to tussles and rifts. However, Urhobos were never under the Benin empire whatsoever. We had no representatives from the Oba and we sent none. However, we revered and feared his power and eminence. We respected his throne but WE WERE NEVER UNDER HIM!

Good job. In Akwa Ibom include Itumbonuso, Eket is not a language,but Ekid. Also Efik is spoken both in Akwa Ibom & CrossRiver.

Ikwerre is an Igboid group hence its omission. However, it is the major group in Rivers State and they have always maintained their distinctiveness from Igbo by virtue of self-determination and thus, they deserve a separate mention!

I think the list hasn't been updated.For example, Kwara state lost some tribes and places to kogi state after the creation of the later and this list still has those tribes and places in kwara.

To the subject of debate now. Esan left Igodomigodo but came under the rule of Oba Ewuare the Great by virtue of conquest. The Enogies and Odions had traditionally been members of the Bini royal family before the advent of colonialism and independence.

Urhobo Ovies are not dukes and never go to Benin for ANYTHING from Birth till Death except on official purposes. If it were so, there'd be no shame in saying so. It is a thing of pride to know one's culture! If you keep arguing tribally, it shows you lack the mental acuity for an intellectual debate. Back up your statements with facts.

Whatever you mean by "your cousin from warri"! I guess you are referring to Itsekiris. Mind you, Itsekiris are not Urhobos nor are they remotely related to Urhobos by any means. They are only our neighbours and they are Yoruboid, not Edoid. Again, another childish statement. You are unearthing your mediocrity to the world and posterity that will see this debate. Imagine your child seeing these uncouth and tribally motivated statements? Please be guarded!!!

It is always very good to know one's tribe and culture. Anything about my people raises my curiosity and I want to know more. By the way, I love the Efiks and Ibibios alot cheesy

. I am currently in one of your cities and your people are one exciting lot. I've learnt alot about the Eket, Annang, Oron, Ibibio, Efik, Qua, and Efut people.

Agbon is a subgroup of Urhobo. It is very close to the Agbarho central Urhobo dialect. Agbon is in Ethiope-East LGA of Delta State. We are ruled by a king known as Ovie of Agbon. The LGA headquarters is incidentally our traditional headquarters and that is a place called Isiokolo. The major towns include Okpara-Inland, Okpara-Waterside, Eku, Kokori, Ovu, Igun, Orhoakpor, etc. I am from Okpara-Inland.
