what am surprised about is why they should use the price of smuggled rice as official price or maybe they banned it at Lagos but somehow allowed to enter to kano freely
And who are the 'they' here? Was this claimed made by any official of FG or kano state? A survey was conducted by NAN about the current price of rice in kano state, and you on the other hand that is not a resident of kano state is already screaming 'lies lies lies'. Don't you know what a SURVEY means again? Why do you have to lie about what you know nothing about in the first place? Don't you have any shame? And were was any official price mentioned in the survey? You guys are funny though

This is just a result of demand. The Abokis are currently on fasting exercise thereby dropping demand relatively.
Therefore price adjustment isn't an uhuru sign

This is quite commendable, in developed nations FG subsidize food products during festive periods to mitigate excess spending and even in the aftermath an exceeding loss after festive season.

Actually, they do not. Most developed countries are averse to subsidies on anything.

Is Kano not Nigeria?

If you live in the north, you will know that all these banned goods are only complied with in the south, not in the north.
Be it furniture, rice, turkey, vehicles, etc, they come in regularly and easily through northern borders and openly displayed that you begin to wonder who the ban help

You should know that is how prices react in Nigeria. The sellers are quick to increase the price of commodity but slow to reduce them.

Demand for foodstuffs in the north is higher during Ramadan than any other period

i live in Lagos Where The Rice Pass Through To Kano Or Is There Another Thing They Are Not Telling Us.

So you think it's only lagos that rice pass through to every other part of the country? Or you think every rice is imported by sea?

Take a trip to saki in oyo state. And you'll see grade 1 smuggling of rice and oil. And the idi-iroko border is still there oooooo.

The northern borders are so free that you can even hand an AK47 on your neck and stroll into Nigeria. In some places, it's just one small stream (the size of a road side drain) that separates Nigeria from Niger republic.

Haba take it easy on the guy. You should naturally increase your tolerance level for ignorance once a person says they live in Lagos especially when discussing issues outside of the state.

The rice in kano go through Ilorin via paraku boarder. So don't think idiroko and seme are the only boarder. Infact its cheaper from paraku. If u are a big buyer contact me
