Thank you @Thesoj

In your next application write a Letter of Clarification explaining your mistakes in filling the forms. You should make it clear that they were honest mistakes that you made. It has to be clear and convincing that you did not intend to lie.

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by MunezSanti: 10:42am On Jun 27, 2016
Well I requested my notes successful from outside of Canada and the fee I paid was $5 only.
U need the following in other to request your notes:
credit/visa card
a signed consent form
an address of someone you know in Canada
a copy of someone's study or work permit (but this is optional)
Internet access.

When in the online application, answer the questions as if you are in Canada. That's how I applied for my gcms notes and it was submitted successfully. Good luck

I added all the names together while addressing him as my sponsor. Please I hope I'm on the right track cos that's the only option I can think of for now.

Hello, I just discovered that even though work was part of my study progrmmes in Canada (post graduate diploma). I only applied for study permit and when filling the pre application questtioniare online I picked the option that explains that work was not part of my study in Canada. Someone told me I shouldn't bother that after I get to Canada I can apply for the work permit but I hope this won't be classified as giving wrong information. Someone should please epp. By the way I submitted my application online on the 22nd of April and no Medical call yet.

Hello house if There is any1 here that applied within april And haven't Heard anything from CIC or VFS, I would advice U to go to vfs office to confirm ur status. I applied in april21st and didn't hear from them ever since,so I went there today and the Guy on d second counter checked mine, and it says my Passport is on transit to lag...nothing else.

You can file another application for work permit when you get into Canada. More so, you study permit also qualifies you to work.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by TheBae: 1:39pm On Jun 27, 2016
You have nothing to worry about. Your study permit let's you work part-time during the semester and full-time on holidays. Like your friend said, you can apply for PGWP afterwards

This is too vague. You might not get any reasonable response. What program are you trying to apply for?

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Newheights: 1:57pm On Jun 27, 2016
Thank you so much for this detailed answer. However, inorder to convince the officer about my proof of funds at point of entry, can I do that orally or will need to show some documents such as bank statement, fixed deposit certificate.
Also, for a two-year program, you only need to show funds for the first year right? This is because my tuition for the one year program is 180% of the first year tuition of the 2-year program, although less than the total tuition for year 1 & 2 of the 2-year program. Is this a good proof of funds for the new program cost?
lawmerchant:

Answer received from CIC call center in Canada:

Yes. However, when arriving in Canada, you must explain to the Officer (at the point of entry) the reason for the resuming in January 2017 as opposed to the July 2016. You must also convince the officer that you have sufficient fund to cover the two-years program. This is because the proof of fund you submitted with your application was assessed on the basis of a one-year not two-year program. The Officer will then have to decide whether to grant you entry. If entry is granted, you must go to you CIC online account and notify CIC of the change in program.
Hope this helps.

I strongly disagree with you. its either your mail isn't working or you provided incorrect email address to vfs/cic. whether approved/refused visa, a mail from cic/vfs comes to notify the applicant for collection/dispatched and approved which doesn't come immediately or not but can be known when tracked or during collection at vfs. if you applied via paper route you can track the status of your application at VFS Nigeria page and see when it has been dispatched and its also always easier for online applicant to know their status at mycic. My guy this your waka shocked to VFS shows you were ignorant of how things are
