Yesterday dis same lady said anoda tin DAT we are suppose to submit our letter for maternity leave the day we put to bed so that our leave will start reading from that day.

Now my question is this,for those DAT work in private organization when do u apply for mat leave,do u inform ur boss about ur pregnancy before showing bcus dis our HM is just a lousy and badbelle lady.

Hello mama, I don't think it's necessary to inform Mgt as soon as u take in. Belle will announce itself but for MAT leave, where I work u apply for leave at least 3 weeks before the day u intend to start.

What I will advice is you have a personal chat with her to find out how to go about it, na she sabi the gra gra wey she dey do.

Well, some organization always have the policy that pregnant woman should notify the management like when they are 3 month pregnant so that they also can make preparation for SHIFT. So maybe your organization is going with that drill or maybe the woman is just doing bad belle. And to my own knowledge, though i haven't applied for one before cos this is my first, Maternity leave should be apply for like when you are 5 or 6 month so that the process of approval can be granted. Hope am able to help.

I submit mine few days to my edd but I put d date I want in there, usually 3-7 days after I've given birth. The last one, na someone help me submit it a day after I gave birth.

fearless07, I'm feeling d same way as you. Infact d pressure in my v-jay jay area is somthg else. I had to run to scan today after reading enkay's bs and Glory be to God, everythg is fine. But my ANC is thur, maybe I'll ask them to check. Being having this intense pressure for the past 3 days, I'm thinkg it might be real labour, though I've been calling it BH. So far its painless, but if u saw me waka 2day, u'll think baby is coming now.

Its just amazing how our body evolves in pregnancy. Pregnancy is jes beautiful!!!

Try taking pap, hot tea, kunu and drinking enough water. And also try feeding frequently even if breast milk is not coming out just put it in our baby's'mouth to stimulate the breast also ensure you get enough rest.

I almost cried from the pain this morning...

The last place I worked, it was stated in the employee handbook that you MUST declare your pregnancy and EDD in your first trimester and then MAT leave was 3 months without pay...Employees had no choice but to adhere cos it was company policy and unto say dem kuku neva see work for another place.

Thankfully I got another job which is where I am presently and you dont need to declare anything. All you need do is apply for your MAT leave at least 1 month before EDD

Hello mamas, abeg how braxton hicks dey be? As in symptoms and all. I don't think I experienced it in my first pregnancy. My stomach would just tighten and my baby would just push her buttocks out.

Sounds like Braxton hicks... But to be very sure, try as much as possible to go for frequent scans and checkup from now on...
Make you no go born for inside bus or on top parlor chair...
