Its better to start the job and decide to quit if the logistics dont work for you than to have regrets as to what if i had taken the job! At least you have your mum near enough to help.

My suggestions are:
Start weaning her from today. It will be very hard on the 2 of you if you suddenly stop breastfeeding her.

How many times do you feed her in a day?
Get formula and substitute like 2 of her feeds with formula and offer her solids before breastfeeding her at the remaining feeds. This should help to gradually reduce your production before monday.

If she is in your mum's for 5 or so days during the week, and you still want to breast feed i would suggest you get a breast pump and storage bottles and express in the morning before work and in the evening when you get back to keep up your milk production.

If you have good electricity, freeze up some milk during the week and you can take them with your daughter to your mum's , So she can still have some bm during the week. You then breast feed her during the weekend when she is with you.

You may have to discard some of the expressed milk if you are unable to store it properly, but this will be necessary if you still want to keep producing milk whilst working. You may need up to 10 bottles to enable you store your twice a day pumping.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Liftedhands:
Add plenty more milk instead.

AlphaHandMaiden:

Avoid any added sugar, instead Use fruit purees.
Banana works well and is easy to mash.
Mango is also a good option.
You can try other sweet fruits as well.

ozycy:

Soybeans is usually not sweet so you have to add more milk.

Thanks a lot darlings.

Yes that's his intestine struggling with the load angry gastrointestinal disturbance is a side effect of babies drinking cows milk! It's just too dense for their fragile and developing system.
Since its a one time thing he will be fine nothing to worry about. Please let them know its not OK for the child yet.

Eeeyyaa, I understand that feeling; you'll miss staying closely with your baby....
But dear, you have to work.. wink

You have to start weaning her immediately....then, you can consider the option of creche or nanny if you ain't comfortable seeing your baby only on weekends. .

Most importantly, what's your husband's take?

Be strong and wish you the best.. being a career mom isn't easy; don't think staying at home is easier either. .

The hair he brought would have to fall off sooner or later. The sad thing is once the shedding starts its hard to stop.
I would advice you shave off and start all over. The funny thing is when the new hair comes on it might be punk or roundabout style grin
Just thank your stars he's a boy so you can join #BaldGang wink

Congrats on your new job.
You can do it, just put your mind to work.
Is there anyway you can branch from work to see her everyday?
Can your husband do the drop off and you pick up while you source for a good creche or nanny that opens early and closes late in your area or around your workplace.
Your daughter needs you to work.
Goodluck. smiley
