The study find out that recruiters spend only 6 seconds reviewing an individual resume. If you don't get your CV right, it make landing your dream job an impossibility. Hiring managers receive an average of 75 CVs per position they post, according to CareerBuilder.com.
[/b]
The study "gaze tracking" technology showed that recruiters spent almost 80% of their resume review time on the following data points:
Name
Current title/company
previous position start dates and end dates
curent position start and end dates
previous tiltle/company
education
So they don't have the time or resources to review each one closely, and they spend approximately six seconds on their initial "fit/no fit" decision.

My predicament is so enormous that I don't have strength to share my plight again.
5k,10k,100k,200k cannot comfort me.
Only God can comfort me.
I take solace only in staring at my ceiling all the time. My bed has become my best friend.
We are all young and full of God's promises. Some of us here will become so great that nations will hear about us but let us not forget the pains of our youth and our senior brothers here who have extended helping hands in one way or the other.
I repeat we are alive, young and full of God's promises. We are better because our future is ahead of us and has not revealed itself. We only have to remain strong and focused and acknowledge God in all our ways, and He shall direct our respective paths.
The past is gone. We are in the present but the future awaits us with its greatness.
Thanks to all my seniors: nduchuks, ymodulus, agarawu23, beedam, antiwailers and the rest who I pray to emulate their kindness and sympathy because I silently ask myself whether I can be this kind-hearted. This is greatest love I have seen on Nairaland since 2010 I registered my account here.
Thank you all

I took out time to read this thread from the first page to this very page, I only knew about the thread yesterday though have been a member of this forum since last year. I am a tiv girl and a certified laboratory technician from school of medical laboratory gboko Benue state. I got an interview invite from a private hospital in Lagos after being successful in their aptitude test which I wrote last month. the invite came unexpected and is slated on Friday this week, have been asking for help all over the place just to raise transport fare down to Lagos from benue state but no help is coming only for a friend to refer me to this thread. I know am late but please someone should consider me and extend the goodwill to me.

here is my mobile number for further discussion, even if it is a loan will be grateful: 08183851669

and here is my account details: name: Faith Hembafan Ashir, 0697331399 (access bank).

so many kind people on this thread, too numerous to mention: nduchucks, agarawu23, beedam, ddeliverer, ymodulus, antiwailer, Brownlord, hadura29, and Ayo7 ,please don't shut the door on me cos I have no where else to go to that's why am giving out all my identity not minding the shame.
thanks.

I responded to you because I had a check on your profile and saw a thread you opened on March 29 seeking where you can get a loan using your discharge as collateral, since you didn't state how much you need. I will be transferring 10k to your account in the morning and God willing will try to do same monthly till you're able to get something doing.

#TEAM SAY NO TO BEGGING

SMH all I can see are bunch of hopeless youth's that have no future plan.
Begging is never an option even if you are physically challenged.

what will you guys do with 5000? what will you buy with it? 5k is nothing but a mere chicking change.

If I was in your shoes wallhi I will never beg for 5k what will I do with it? a person that begs has a very low self esteem, and a person with a low self esteem hardly succeed in life, am not coursing any one but it is the reality. Let's say no to begging pls.

secondly those people that are busy sharing money in here, they are just worsening the matter they ain't helping at all. why would you guys keep on sharing money in adult forum like nairaland, I believe that each and every person on nairaland have the money to buy phones and some they can even afford laptops and they will still come here and start unnecessary begging, most of the people on nairaland are probably 15years and above they Can go out there and use their talent, intelligence, and energy for their daily living.

please and please anyone that is willing to help a soul financially, they should go out there, there are many starving children, orphans, physically challenged people and old folks that need the money more than the people begging in here.

homeless children are starving on the street.
I will rather help one child on the street than to waste my money in here.

#TEAM SAY NO TO BEGGING
#5,000 is chicken change?..right?....Good.
Same way there are people who will tell you #30 million is chicken change.that is life for you.
You think everybody droping their accounts nd requesting for help are "hopeless beggers" right?...We,we are actually "beggers",but have you asked yourself what's really our motive of begging?
You call someone like faithfancy who is looking for transport fare to lagos for an interview and was also ready to tender his discharge certificate as collateral for a loan as a "hopeless begger"?....brownlord knows better...
So you see someone like me as a "hopeless begger"?...nduchucks knows better..etc.
Do you know my or our story to judge us?
Do you know what I have passed through to survive?
Do you know how hardworking I have been to survive?
If you want a picture prove,I can show it to you.I have worked with a well known company here in Lagos and we were told that the best 3 people will be chosen after 2 months based on attendance, productivity, puntuality and so on.I hardly get 4-5 hours of sleep in a day then.
By the grace of God,I was among the top 3 best worker despite all my challenges.
Do you know only one of the top 3 best performer was chosen because the rest of us don't know somebody at the top?
If I tell you my take home pay then, someone like you will call it a "chicken change".but I had to do it then because I hd no choice,I wanted to prove myself to them.it was really a sacrifice because it was better than sitting at home and doing nothing them.An idle man they say is a devil's workshop..here we are back to labour market.
Some when you see people "beg" here,it doesn't mean that they have no future ambition as you stated above. It maybe that they need the money ro print and submit some documents, need it to get some clothes/shoe for an interview, need it to transport theirselves to where they are invited for an interview or use it to clear one or two things.you can only thing right if your mind is relaxed or a bit relaxed.
I don't know what your background is like,I don't know your story, maybe your motive is to encourage people to work harder to achieve what they want rather than begging. But to me,your choice of words are not really nice and encouraging. No graduate/student in his/her right senses would choose begging as a means of livelyhood.but sometimes, you need a ladder no matter how short it may be to climb or lift yourself to the sky.
Bro,I pray you never ever see any reason to "beg for chicken change" from people..
Yes begging is not good..but don't judge or insult people if you don't know their story. The big question is if the table should turn today,CAN YOU FIT INTO THEIR SHOES? CAN YOU SURVIVE IT FOR A WEEK?...Peace!

Look guys/gals: - Farouk has a point. No one is judging anyone.
"give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime"

Maybe he's word's are harsh but it's got truth to it.
I applaud the cheerful givers. And I know the one's dropping their pleas and account numbers aren't doing it for fun. Everyone's situation is different.

As long as those who benefited from this pay it forward and the cycle continues then all is well, but we are humans and some have already abused this and probably will in the future.
