I didnt say Nigeria is incapable of exporting Agricultural produce..

But if those Pallets I saw that were packed and left out in the open like that in the Airport are the Agricultural Produce of 5 Milion Dollars that Obiano exported, then I am sorry to say I DON'T BELIEVE HIM.

He can produce the export reciepts and invoices to back his claims up but I strongly doubt those vegetables will make it through the Airport or Seaport Quarantine of any European Country.

Oh well, make we dey look. I would like to do more investigation into this sha if I was in Nigeria sha...for now I'm kinda on the fence on this.

ABX, ABC or whatevers you call them.. All I know is that Export Quality Vegetables are not packed nor handled the way I saw in those photos. Maybe he exported them to Ghana or Togo, but definitely not Europe. Go sell that Bullshiit to Aunty CHidiebere in Ohafia that has never been to an Airport or crossed our Borders.

Obiano could have shut Sahara up once and for all by providing Photos of the farms, Bill of Laden, Export Duty/Exemption reciepts, Quarantine clearance, Freighting/shipping/Cargo reciepts, e.t.c..


Waybilling Palm Oil to Ugwu Hausa and Shipping Palm Oil to Europe and Amirika is not the same.

Even the way I saw those Vegetables packed, I doubt it would cross quarantine at the ports of entry..

This is an example of how farm produce are packed for export, not that thing I saw on Sahara reporters.



I have to be honest and say the Sahara reporters piece raised dounts which I already hadeven more. Me sef I am curious to know. Igbo or not, I hate being taken for a fool by anybody.

A 30mins TV documentary on the project showcasing their network of farms and farmers in the project, how the harvests are picked up and moved to the packing centre where they are sorted out and packaged then loaded up into trucks heading out to the Airport! This will be a good PR for the project.

They need to visit Kenya to understudy how their horticulture exporters run things and they are always eager to show off their operations on TV because it is marketing for them.

Can't forget one of those exporters showing the network of their Avocado farmers, how it is being harvested and transported to their packing centre with over 60 staff working there maintaining the best standard of hygiene, The Avocados being sorted, washed, dried, cartoned and loaded into 40ft contaiiners and headed to the port!

Anambra State can go further

Some folks are really stupid and I wonder how their brains work.

The governor mentioned the name of the company that handles the logistics of exporting these vegetables. And you are here asking for pictures. If Sahara reporters really did an investigation, they should have visited the company that handled the exportation and also confirm from European countries were these goods were exported to. But the lazy journalists in Sahara reporters chose to sit on a bench in front of a computer for their yeye investigation.

Aerial shot of some of the farms in Anambra north area. Many people do not know that Anambra have riverrhine areas particularly in the northern part of the state. You can see from afar that the land is well cultivated. Irrigation is being used here...........

These areas are well guarded against the menace of herdsmen..

I'll be sitting on the fence on this issue.... I expect a rebuttal from SR soon.

There is alot to be disired from the photos being shared by the Government.

Nothing in the Handling and Packing says those produce are fit for the European Market apart from the fact that it is organic.


Imagine those Niggas picking up Vegetables off of the ground, stuffing them in boxes and sending them off to Europe.

People should Watch Border security and see how containers or produce get rejected and incinerated for little issues like soil presence or rottening or Bugs and insects or even non-compliance with EU import rules.

Nigerians dwell over the most stuupid things; why should it be anyone's business if the volume of export of Ugu and Olugbu isn't up to $5m?... The most important thing about this story is that vegetables are being exported out of Nigeria in LARGE quantity. This is an initiative which can only grow and get better; if it isn't up to $5m today, it will definitely get to that level and exceed with time. Before now who ever believed Ugu or Olugbu could be cash crops?... This is an initiative that should be encouraged and more states should key into this.

The so called Anambra vegetables export is a scam and political tool.
Supplying local traditional vegetables to Nigeria restaurant and Nigerian community abroad is not a big deal. Right from time, African food stuffs has always been exported to America and around the world.

Africa can not export food to Europe, America, Asia even middle east because they have it in abundance.
THEY CAN ONLY EXPORT TRADITIONAL AFRICAN FOOD STUFFS TO AFRICA COMMUNITY THERE.

They have everything. Thousands of fruits and vegetables that we never seen in Africa.
Vegetables that are more expensive than meat. Some are heavily fortified with nutrients that makes you live longer.
E.g.. broccoli and many others help to fight cancer and other diseases.

What about the varieties of African vegetables not seen or grown in Europe?
