We all know that the only reason why the northerners are always quick to shout "One Naijeriya" is because of crude oil in the South.

I dare say that if the oil had been in the north all this while as it has been in the south, the north would have asked for Arewanistan Republic and asked the infidel south to get lost.

I pray they find more than enough oil in their region to be honest.

Even the Civil war was fought because of crude oil as confirmed by Benjamin Adekunle before he died and regretted being used to fight just to keep crude oil for the hausa/fulani to drink.

If you know your history you will know that Adekunle's people n region were ready to break off as far back as 1957 but some persons decided it would be better they stay behind and help the hausa/fulani drink oil.

I pray that NNPC find oil in that region because this search has been on for over 30 years and no result. I think it is a complete waste of time and money. We should look for ways to diversify the economy and not more oil search.

They won't even find. If there was oil there shell and co would have beaten them to it. This is just an avenue to steal money to empower that their dubious Northern Nigeria petroleum limited company.

But why are you so shallow, if the north gets oil, Nigeria scattered, everyone returns to their fathers land and develop it, good for everyone. SE can have their Biafra, SS can have their NigerDelta, SW can have wat ever they want to call it, and North can rule themselves as they desire. Wont that be better for all of us?
