If you are applying to the MPNP as Skilled Worker Overseas, you must demonstrate an established connection to Manitoba through one of the following before you can apply:
1. Family/friends
2. Previous Education or work experience in the province
3. Through an Invitation to Apply received directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative
There is also an option of qualifying to apply due to Exploratory visit to Manitoba. This option is closed for 2016.
Please note that if you want to use family/friends, it does not mean you will qualify automatically. You will still need to enter Manitoba Expression of Interest pool and score over 540ish to be invited to apply for the PNP. I however do not think you will require WES evaluation as they still want you to submit your transcripts and certificate when you get Invitation to Apply. Please confirm this, I am not 100% certain about this.

Dupyshoo, thanks for the detailed explanation.you are GREAT. 1 little clarification, does the ITA still need link with family and friends? Cos I honestly don't know anyone in any of the provinces in Canada. Lastly, can I commence MPNP and at the same time try another province?
Thanks
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 7:22pm On Sep 05, 2016
Yes, you will need friend or family in Manitoba except if you have worked or studied in Manitoba before.

I think you should try other provinces.

Tanks dear
dupyshoo:
If you want to go through express entry, then you will still be required to write IELTS. Since you already have 600 points, just register and try to get as minimum of 6 in all the bands, then you will be good to go.

However, if you don't want to write IELTS, you can check for provincial nomination route in the province where you got the job. Some of the provinces MIGHT not require IELTS. I am only sure of Quebec though. Please note that if you decide to go through this route, you will have to submit paper application.

Anyone processing Quebec csq?

Even if you have just submitted your application
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 8:12am On Sep 06, 2016
Most provinces are not accepting applications currently except if you have a job offer or you have studied in the province. What I will advise is for you to check the websites of all the provinces, check if you are eligible and apply if they are taking applications. If they are not taking applications, keep monitoring the website until new slots are open.

I have posted about all PNPs before. Check this link for the post: https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/144#47208480

Many thanks for your assistance. I have one more question though.

Has anyone used ETX-NG.com to dispatch their transcript to WES? Is it acceptable and is the company reliable?

Their services are reliable my guy

Good afternoon all. Please what's the duration for processing the Federal skilled workers Immigration Programme?

Its not predictable, depends a lot on your own peculiar circumstance e.g, if you dont get your Credential evaluation done on time, if you don't pass your IELTS sufficiently, if you are married and it will require your spouse to also write which he/she may not be willing and you have to do a lot of convincing, if you will need a PNP which most times is determined by your occupation and the province who has it on offer, etc. Lot's of things are determinant of how fast or how long it can be but i very well advice you dont bother about the duration rather bother about ensuring it works out for you cuz, the benefits are worth whatever input you will make

Someone just spoke to me about this FSWP. I am totally new here and I need help.

I am a Teacher, 30 years old, been teaching since about 2years (post-NYSC) BT cumulatively, about 7yrs. I currently left my job for some reasons and looking to apply to this programme, how can I possibly rack up points?

How do I go about the application? It's quite unclear on the website as I was just being referred from one page to another.

Thanks for your helpful response.

Go to page 0 and take time to read through very carefully, do not be in a hurry. You can even make generous use of Google.

Then you can come back with more specific questions.

[quote author=dupyshoo post=49122123]Are you an agent for ETX-NG? You had to dig up a post since July 31st to make this comment.

Anyway, I have heard terrible stories about ETX-NG. I wanted to use them last year and was quoted about N20K. I eventually got my transcripts for less than N10k. This confirms that they can be expensive. I can't really comment about the reliability of their service though.

They are really expensive. I used them and I must say they are very slow. In fact, WES already evaluated my credentials even before etx-ng sent in the transcripts. More so, I had to call them after I got completed evaluation from WES, then they dispatched the transcripts after two days which I confirmed through tracking that WES received the transcript after my evaluation has been completed

ETX is a waste of time, they should mostly attract clients from those based outside the country without any link to their school back home. Best is to find someone who works in school, he/she will do all the leg work and follow-up but must be reliable and you will likely part with something wink

Hello All,

I currently work as an IT project manager with PMP certification and other IT related certifications. However, I realized my occupation falls under (NOC 1221 hopefully am correct) hence, i discovered from my research so far that it's not been in the occupation-demand list of SINP, NovaScotia, NewFoundland & NewBrunswick.

My question here is, does my NOC 1221 ever get updated for occupation in demand by any of the above-listed provinces which makes it eligible to apply for the PNP or if there are other provinces that require my NOC that I didn't mention above.

Your inputs will be appreciated.

You are likely a NOC 0231 not 1221

How did you know your job position is not part of the ones required by CIC? Let's know the exact job it is and, even if that were the case, you can use your previous bank job experience.

Hello Everybody in the house @dupyshoo and all the guru I need few clarification before creating EE profile for my family as my wife is the principal applicant with score is 471 accompanying with spouse while married but not accompanying with spouse is 478 and yesterday I mail Iqas and they confirmed that our transcripts re with them but yet to receive application forms and i mailed another set to my cousin in canada immediately and he did it on the spot .

My main issue is that can she ve two ee profile (accompanying with spouse and non accompanying with spouse) at the same time in the pool.secondly she is a fund transfer officer in a bank so I am thinking she will fit in well under noc 0114 Interbanking arrangement officer

Please kindly reply to this as to clear all doubts

Good morning seniors and gurus in ghe house.
I just started following all posts with keen interest and I must say you all have been wlnderful.

Please I am seriously considering a change of environment and would like to apply for the skilled work programme.
I am blessed to be working in the very lucrative sector and the POF will hopefully not be an issue. I have started with the WES procedures and my husband and self will hopefully do the IELTS test come November.

I have done several eligibility tests like 4 times and was told am very qualified. Although my main intention is for the children to have a better life because we have teenagers on the verge of going off to school for A level next year.
My questions/clarification:
1. On determining your NOC, do you consider your proffession or your qualification because I couldnt find mine.
My qualification BSC Banking, and MBA, Proffession (Contract Administration , procurement and I have also worked as an executive administrator too all together I have 20 yrs of of work experience) but I am 44yrs. I couldnt find something that fits in the NOC. Can someone help?
2. My husband BSC Economics bjt proffessionally for almost 25yrs been into interior decoration but he is gonna be 50yrs by the end of the year. Though he doesnt plan to live there do you think his age could be an issue ?

Thanks and Regards God Bless

Hiyah,

I am struggling to understand how the difference between profile with and without spouse is just 8 points. The difference should be about 30 points. Can you please clarify this.

If this is true, you can always create 2 profiles. if you receive ITA for the 2 profiles, you can reject one and disable the profile.

With regard to NOC code, as I don't know what her responsibilities are on a day-to-day basis, it will be difficult for me to say specifically what her NOC code is. However, the most important thing is for her job responsibilities to match more than 50% of what is written under whichever NOC code she decides to choose.

You consider your job experience to determine your NOC.

I am not sure of your NOC. However, you can use this link to determine your NOC code. Just go towards the end of the page and you will see the space to type words describing your core duties in order to determine your NOC.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

Another option is for you to send an email to noc-cnp@workingincanada.gc.ca and copy NC-NOC-CNP-GD2@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca. You will inform them about your desire to apply for permanent residence and you will include the following in the email:

- the exact job title;
- a detailed description of the main duties;
- the education and work experience required by the employer for entry into the occupation; and
- the type of establishment in which the work is performed.

They normally reply within 3-5days.

Thanks. I had a score of 472. I'm not sure how good enough this is considering the max score is 1200 if I'm not mistaking.

Pls note that I used scores i hope to get when I eventually write IELTS and funds in account part as I haven't taken the tests or done WES yet.

Again, can I use funds in my parents accounts as part of the funds I have as the money I have in my own account is just short of what they require from my calculations

Hiyah,

You are absolutely correct. I did not put into consideration spouse contribution.

Have you thought of the implication of your spouse going alone to Canada? She will have to sponsor you after arriving in Canada. For her to sponsor you, she must have been working for a while and the process itself can take up to or more than 2 years. If you don't mind, then you can go ahead and create the profile as spouse not accompanying.

However, if you are patient, you will likely still get ITA with 471. It might just take some few months. While waiting for ITA, you can decide to rewrite IELTS? If you do and get a very high score, you will be able to contribute up to 10 more points, which will take your CRS to 481. Just think about this and take the route you feel is the best for your family.

Hey guys,

Does anyone know how long it takes WES to complete the ECA after verification with Institution is complete?

My status changed from "waiting for verification from institution" to "evaluation in progress" since last week Monday. I want to believe this means verification is complete and it's just to wait for them to complete now. Does anyone know how long this stage take and whether or not there is any other action I need to take? This WES don chop all my time. Since June 29th.
Thanks.
