Catholic Bishop of Sokoto; Matthew Kukah, Emir of Kano; Lamido Muhammad Sanusi, Archbishop of Canterbury; Justin Welby and others at the international & interreligious peace conference in Assisi, Italy.

The World Day of Prayer for Peace concludes a 3-day event organized by the Sant’Egidio Community entitled this year “Thirst for Peace. Religions and Cultures in Dialogue”.

More than 450 religious leaders of different faith gathered to pray for peace and strengthen dialogue in the spirit of Assisi.

Religious tolerance should be preached and practiced across borders because there can be no development without peace. It's images like this that slices through ISIS' divisive propaganda like a hot knife through butter.

The other clerics there are John Cardinal Onaiyakan of Abuja Arch-Diocese and... I think that's the Bishop of Jos with them. Plus someone remind me his name.
