A Cry For Help by Millyiyke: 4:11pm On Sep 24, 2016
Dear nairalanders,
My name ikemefuna mba, i am married with three kids from anambra.
My reason for writing this post is to seak the help of fellow nairalanders. Its a very difficult decision for me bringing this to nairaland but its very necesary becouse i see it as my last hope.
I will make it short, in my family we are five three boys and two girls, am the first child.
My problem started last year 2015 when the company am working with as a security supervisor called us on january 2015 that we should stop work and step aside which i did hoping that we will be called up later to start work or at least give us reason for stoping work.
But non of these happened, i kept on waiting. On february 2nd 2015 we received a sad news from nigeria army that my brother daniel mba is dead that he died during boko haram terrorists attack on their unit location ngwom borno state. We where very shocked and dissapointed because we have started seing light through him and he married not long ago just six months .

He married not long ago just six months befor his dirth.
The family borrowed money and did the burial.
My bad condition continue to increase, around march 2016 the military called my junior brother uchenna our 3rd child to come to ibadan for the burial expenses and benevolent fund because daniel used his name as the next of kin duriing his registration.
When he told me about it i feel some how alive our father was very happy without knowing that he has a different intention, the money was close to one million naira.
My father went and borrowed money for his trip to ibadan.
He went to ibadan and they issued him four cheques that amount to one millionaira, he came back with photo copy of those cheques that was all we saw.
Our dad now ask him to go and clear those cheques so that we can know the way forward, he left for some months we did not hear from him. I called uchenna to know how far he has gone and he told me that he has cleared the cheques and he used the money to start business.

I was suprised and i told our dad what uchenna said about the money, my dad was tery angry he did not care about my later brothers wife, our two sisters, our dad who borrowed money to do the burial and my self.
Later on i called him and ask him to borrow me 50000k that i will pay back in two months time but he refused, he told me that god has made him a king and i ask him on your brothers dirth? In fact i was very sorry for late daniel my family regreted his actions but for me i hand it over to god to take care.
Our dad had to travel to onitsha to collect the money he borrowed for him.
I never believe in my life that there could be a time like this when i could not be able to feed my kids to talk of sending them to school.
To add salt to injury my wife who is doing petty business that helps us to fee our kids recieve a call about her mother that is very sick, rush to her mothes place and took her to hospital.

She was diagnosed with diabetis and my wife have to take care of her at the hospital and i was left with the kids with out doing anything.
One week later she had stroke and condition got worst and my own condition got worst too, no food, no money, the kids are starving they can not go back to school because we have not paid for last term and i have nothing doing.
It took me a lot of time to make this decision of using this chanel to solicite for help.
My reltions are not helping matters, they would like to buy you drinks but to empower you is a different thing.
I there for use this medium to plead with my fellow nairalanders to come to my rescue and help me out any way they can.
Help me so my two kids can go back to school, if possible i need your help so that i can start a small business that will help me take care of my family.
I have idea of soap make i can start from there, i see nairalanders as my last hope and am doing this in the name of god.

I feel more sorry for the wife
The poor woman who became a widow after 6 only months marriage but not a penny received in death benefit after her husbands death even though he served his country.
Only the baba mentioned the wife; no one else cares.
The poster is even trying to borrow N50k from the same money that his brother has/is squandering
I imagine what would have happened if Daniel left kids. Thats even assuming that the wife is not pregnant now. Everything gone!
It is well
Dont let me say anything about this family.

Who did the burial now?

And is it true that a Nigerian soldier's family gets no compensation at all even though the soldier died serving his country? shocked
And they have the audacity to send you bills?
Like seriously?

I think what he means is that the family took care of the burial arrangements, then later the Army gave them a refund of the money they spent on the burial plus death benefits.
I may be wrong though
OP please clarify

I dont understand what you just posted, however I just read a few of your previous posts now, and you did mention about your brother dying last year. Sorry for your loss.
Its very bad what your brother did and very very unfair.
I suggest that you contact Tehn so they can fully verify your story & do make sure you carry you SIL along especially if she too is suffering from financial hardship

@ op,

Your story is indeed sad to hear.
but know that any real help will be rendered to you only after your story has been verified.

@op.

How much exactly do you need? Give me a break down of what your expenses are. For example:

~ Your kids: How old are they? How much do their school fees cost per term? How much do you owe the school(s)?

~ Your Business a Plans: What specific soap business do you intend to set up? How do you intend to go about starting up this business of yours? Give me a detailed breakdown of your business plans and cost projections including your projected income and expenses for the medium term. Five years should do it for now.

~ Your Rent: Even though you didn't mention it, I presume this also is an issue? If it is, how much is it and how much do you owe in arreas? What's the tenancy agreement with your landlord?

~ Your Mother In Law: You say she's got a plethora of medical issues including being diagonised with having diabetics and recently suffering from a stroke. What medication does she need to contain her diabetics? What drugs does she need post having that stroke? I need to know the names of the drugs she's on and the frequency of intake. Are you able to afford her medication? If not, give me a breakdown of what exactly it is you need. Have you settled her medical bills with the hospital? If not, how much do you owe the hospital? I'll need a detailed breakdown of these too.

~ a Your Widowed Sister-In-Law: Has she got any kids? If so, how many? What's her financial situation now? And what support (if any) is she receiving from your family?

Finally, is there anything else I've missed? If so state it here with a detailed breakdown of any costs associated with it/them.

I'd like a response to my questions today, preferably before 11:00 a.m. Thanks.

@Efemenaxy thanks for concern.
I have three kkids a girl and two boys, my first dauther is 5yrs and 4 months, my first son is 3yrs while the last is 1yr 9 months.
Their school fees is #2350 each we are owing #3100.
My business plans is that i want to go into bar soap production, how i intend to go about it is if i have a capital of 30 to 80k for example i know the materials and ingridients to buy .
For the profit it depends on the amount i start with, lets say i start with 40k after sells i could be getting 60 to 70plus it depends my effort.
I would need about 60k to start but i dont have a choice so any thing giving to me will be appreciated.
For the rent, when things got worst we moved down to village though its close to the capital, so i dont have rent issues.
My mother in law her hospital bill is more than 100k but they have been paying it instalmentaly, was only day before yesterday my wife called and told me that they sold her refrigerator and television to clear the remaining bill.

@Efemenaxy
My wife has been in the hospital with mother since july because she cant walk with her two legs so my wife took her to holy ghost adoration ministry uke o friday but she called me yesterday morning that her mum is urinating blood and deficating blood each time she wants to.
The rev sisters advice her to take her back to hospital but i adviced her to take her to their village so that their people could see her and her condition because my wife can anything again about her sickness.
Up till now i have not heared from her, her line is switch off.
For widow she is teaching in federal girls college but what we did was that we urged her to report the matter to the millitary which she did and the called my dad to confirm it because the full benefit is yet to come we dont know when but hopefuly it will not come through him and i think they have invited him for questioning.
Thank you once again for your concern.

Okay let's take these one at a time, starting with your mother-in-law. I asked you very specific questions to which I'm still expecting answers to, namely:

~ What medication does she need to contain her diabetics?

~ What drugs does she need post having that stroke?

~ I need to know the names of the drugs she's on and the frequency of intake.

~ Are you able to afford her medication? If not, give me a breakdown of what exactly it is you need.

~ You say you had a hospital bill of N100K. I'll need a detailed breakdown of what and what amounted to this.

Five main points covered to which I'll be expecting detailed responses to each and every one of them.

Finally, I'd like you to post the receipts and Doctor's prescriptions on here pls.

Thanks.
