I am not talking about the sabbath day.
I am talking about a set day when children of God come together to receive from the lord and to connect to heaven. Sex as legal as it is, is still a fleshly engagement. And a serious child of God would ofcourse put off with any fleshly activity if not for anything atleast as a sign of humility and self-crucifixion that Paul encourages us to.
Even in the old testament, the priests that enter the holy of holies on the set day are to sanctify themselves from every fleshy and worldly attachments else they be struck down by God himself. Even though the bible didn't really specify, but I am sure the last thing on the minds of those privileged priests would be sex- not when there is a high chance of being Killed in God's presence.
