The government of Rivers state has debuked the fake website making the rounds that Igbo isn't a recognized ethnic nationality in the state. The said website isn't the official government website of the state. No where in Nigeria does an official government site ends with net.ng. The real and authentic RVSG website is http://www.riverstate.gov.ng which has been non-functional for a long time now and shall soon undergo repairs. The fake website www.riversstate.net.ng is a cloned site anchored by nefarious persons. The public should take note. Below is the true ethnic grouping of Rivers state.

They are experts in cyber crime. They created that website to cause disaffection between the Igbos in Rivers and their brothers and sisters over there. They are not happy with the harmony that is existing between them. I'm talking about this Republic.

Why all this fuse..are we trying to reject a fact that is factual,obvious and evidential.
To what purpose?
People saying that ibos are not indigenous to rivers state..what are they trying to achieve..
Evenif the state government omitted it in their website..is a correction that must be made.
Am not ibo, but I stand by the truth.i don't want to start mentioning ibo town in rivers..many of us know..
But am only trying to figure out..to what purpose is the division .
And some people are proudly happy about it..ieven those that are not from rivers state...
You can't go to communities and made this comment..will spark a tribal difference that may take long to settle..
Please..let's understand that our actions online may have an offline effects.

Every indigenous rivers man know there are ibos indigenous to the state..they may bear different names..but we count them as ibos..

The website isn't the official handle of RVSG this I have observed since this month. Rivers state from time immemorial has always consist of three grouping where every tribe falls 1) Igboid, 2) Ijoid, and 3) Ogoni that even the federal government recognises this. This is the reality on ground. But, it beats my imagination how far people would go in peddling false informations? Good job Chiwude for busting the yahoo boys.

Not just the westerners, even many south-southerners are guilty of this too. Don't be suprised if that website wasn't the handy work of insiders (Ijaw Bayelsa) boys, because all my suspicions points to that direction. Especially as the Ijaw dude Ajieretuwo has been gallivanting up and down since the fake information broke out.

Why will some one go to the extent of creating a fake web site supposedly of a federating state, fabricate and post such satanic document just to create divisions amongst kins of same root and same will wake up sunday morning to preach unity in the body of Christ or friday afternoon to stand shoulder to shoulder and claim unity in Islam. The civil war is not yet over.

The both websites are government website, the first owned by the federal government and the last according to the OP the real Rivers state website non-functional for a while now. I am an Isoko boy born and brought up in Port Harcourt and RIVERS STATE IS AN IGBO STATE AND IF THE LIKES OF TONYEBARCANISTA ARE NOT CAREFUL THEY WOULD NEVER PRODUCE AN IJAW GOVERNOR. Since 1999 Rivers have been producing only Igboid Governors From Peter NwaOdili to Chibuike, and now Ezebunwo.


By 2023 the Etche people will line up claim marginalization and will present a candidate that would win the Governorship. The Rivers Ijaws should look at the Ogoni people and learn. The Ogoni people that oppose anything Igbo have remained as strangers in their own land. No Governor, deputy or even secretary to the state Governor. Rivers State is Now full Igbo property.
