goldfish80: It does not mean because Saviola was a wonderkid, there could not be another. By the way, Xavi made name and achieved a lot before Saviola joined Barcelona. So I do not get your point. Xavi was a young sensation from 1998 to 2000. Saviola joined Barca in 2001. So what is your point. 1 Like |

Yeah... Voting done by people who have Rashford thrown in their faces.... So yeah it is voting. But we can't deny the influence that the media stories/coverage on these youngsters in the past couple of months will have on Voters' choices..... tbaba1234: 2 Likes 1 Share |

tbaba1234:the media forms the opinions of the masses more often than not, so yes, media hype is largely responsible for Rashford's votes. Never underestimate British media, they helped Martial win last year and trust me, United players benefit A LOT from the media hype 2 Likes |

Okay... Thanks. Hmmm.... Iwobi looks closest to the top... He's on fifth. So he'll likely take my vote. Voting Nacho down in 9th may not do any good. The power of the media... Chaiii... Issorait. Thanks Safari. safarigirl: |

TheGoodJoe:Of course arsenal don't have elite strikers. But after those elites strikers, Giroud is in the next tier. First choice in the French NT. Nacho continues like this till the end of the season, then I can comfortably pick him over any arsenal striker. Not at this moment. 1 Like |

tbaba1234:my brother, you know your people very well. Last year, I opened a thread for Nigerians to vote Orji Okonkwo for goal of the tournament after U17, and what did they do? All of them went to vote Cortez' goal because "it was the right thing to do" I cannot even open a thread for this one because I trust all of them will vote Rashford, some out of spite even. Even amongst us here I know many people who won't vote either of our boys, how will I then take free meat to the wolves? Abeg, it's okay here, highest within us, we can find other interested parties who are fellow patriots to pitch in a vote, but out there? Never again 3 Likes |

ChrisKels: Sorry for replying late. I was too busy today. He doesn't need to get anything right at the club level because we have agreed that he is talented. Soon, you will start seeing him play regularly for Liverpool. Haba! We Nigerians don't always learn from past errors or mistakes. We ought to have identified the talented ones before they get noticed by England or other countries. Joel Asoro and Joshua Maja are already Sunderland first team players. Tammy Abraham is the leading goal scorer in England Championship. Josh Onomah featured twice for Tottenham in Barcley premier-league and even scored a goal in the league Cup. Dominic Solanke is the 3rd striker in Chelsea. You know what that means. Sheyi Ojo already booked into Liverpool first team since last year and he was outstanding when he played but.... hmmm! Na wa ooo! Ola Aina has made Chelsea's substitution bench 4 times in Barcley premier-league and he has started in the League cup. Tiago Ilori has played in top 5 best leagues in the world and today he is registered with Liverpool. Tosin Adarabioyo played in a league cup for Manchester City. All these players are registered with clubs in the Barcley premier-league but nobody is talking about them. I can tell you that this boys listed are definitely very talented. So, we must identify the talented among them. |

Next time, leave Ola Aina out so he can concentrate on his English Youth teams. Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Chelsea defender Ola Aina was sounded out about the possibility of represent Nigeria at the 2016 Olympic Games by emissaries sent by the Nigeria Football Federation. But the Londoner rejected the Nigerian Federation’s proposal as he is focused on representing the youth teams of his country of birth, England. http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=19688 1 Like |

Next time leave Tosin Adarabioyo out of the list. So he can stay committed to England. Manchester City starlet Tosin Adarabioyo remains committed to England ahead of Nigeria at international level, having recently snubbed overtures from representatives of the Nigeria Football Federation. http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=19704 2 Likes |

Leave Tiago Ilori out because his loyalty is clear for all to see. We need those who want and like to stay loyal to Nigeria. I think I would like to stay loyal to Portugal as I’ve played in every age group for them,” Ilori told the Liverpool Echo. 1 Like |

AF Nigeria 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers - Africa Tanzania Nigeria stars to blame for AFCON failure says Eagles coach Victor Moses against Egypt in March by Samm Audu Nigeria coach Salisu Yusuf has said the country’s stars were to blame for the failure to qualify for next year’s AFCON because they did not do enough. However, he said he believes they will push themselves more to make sure they qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. “The players did not give what they were supposed to give (and so we failed to qualify again for the AFCON),” said Yusuf, who was involved in all the qualifiers with Stephen Keshi, Sunday Oliseh and Samson Siasia at the helm at various points of the failed campaign. “The players fought like home-based players in the friendly against Mali and I believe that will better self motivation, they will be at the World Cup. “They are already producing high performances at their various European clubs and we expect them to give more to be at the World Cup.” In March, Nigeria missed out on a second straight AFCON after they lost 1-0 at eventual group winners Egypt. Yusuf further charged the country’s Europe-based stars to adapt to whatever conditions they will come across in their bid to qualify for a sixth World Cup. The pitch at Ndola, where the Super Eagles will begin their qualifying quest for Russia 2018 against home team Zambia, appears not to be in top shape. But coach Yusuf said that should not be a drawback. “We must adapt to the African environment. With players with strong character, a bad pitch won’t make any difference after about 15 minutes, when you would have familiarize yourself with it,” he reasoned. africanfootball.com/news/651311/Nigeria-stars-to-blame-for-AFCON-failure-says-Eagles-coach 1 Like |

AF Nigeria 2016 Olympics - Men Football Nigeria U23 Will Mikel be fit in time for World Cup clash against Zambia? Mikel Obi Skipper Mikel Obi is now an injury doubt for Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier in Zambia after Chelsea boss Antonio Conte revealed the midfielder is injured. “Mikel is out with a small muscular problem,” Conte announced Friday. The Nigeria captain will as a result not be available for selection in Saturday’s Premier League clash against Hull City. Mikel has yet to play a competitive game for Chelsea under Conte after he cut short pre-season training with ‘The Blues’ to feature for Nigeria at the recent Olympics in Rio. It has not yet been ascertained if he would have recovered in time for an October 9 showdown against Zambia in Ndola. Injury has already knocked out Germany-based defender Leon Balogun for the important qualifier, while injury-hit Gent winger Moses Simon has told coach Gernot Rohr he will be fully fit before the match. Balogun has since been replaced by Uche Agbo of Granada CF. africanfootball.com/news/651284/Will-Mikel-be-fit-in-time-for-World-Cup-clash-against-Zambia |
